I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.
My absolute favorite part both from a story standpoint, visual standpoint, & character standpoint had to be the scene near the very end where Captain Hirako Shinji is walking away from speaking with Urahara and just casually tears down the veil of Aizen's Zanpakuto. Up until that point, it had never been shown that anyone could do such a thing and the look on Aizen's face was awesome.
If i thought highly of bleach, I might be inclined to agree. As it is though I find bleach to be pretty interesting in its manga form and sub-standard to say the least in its anime form, filler or no filler.About the fillers, I would agree with you two if the fillers would be of substandard quality. I don`t know many other Anime series but in the case of Bleach I don`t agree with it at all that its fillers are substandard.
I learned that the Bount seasons and also the new captain chapter are considered to be fillers. I enjoyed both stories a lot. I even enjoyed the more obvious filler, the recent ball game. I can only think of very few fillers I didn`t like much and they are first of all featuring the silly talking teddy bear I can`t stand.
Therefore I am hoping that the concept of Bleach won`t change and hopefully the series will run for many years to come. There is certainly more than enough story potential and a lot that is still waiting to be explored!
Hm, I think I give this spoiler protection thing a try:
I agree. I also think it is very interesting that Ichigo`s dad and Ishida`s dad know each other and that they both know Urahara, too. I am hoping they will appear again and I am waiting to see Ichigo`s face when he finds out the truth!

I believe alot of this is due to a lack of production breaks and what essentialy amounts to milking a cash cow. The issue is even more glaring in compared to the massive amount of good to great anime that has been coming out these past couple of seasons. If it was simply a production values issue than this can be forgiven (though in this department bleach hasnt exactly been standing out).
The stories have become tired, everything is incoherent with the recent injection of filler at random points and even the mangaka, Tite Kubo, is simply trying to milk the franchise by draging things out in the manga department as well. IMHO for the good of the bleach franchise they need to produce the show in seasons and plan on an actual end for the story.
