1. I was almost born in Germany (my dad was stationed there whilst in the Army. My parents came back right before I was born).
2. Regarding above: I'm not a dual citizen, but my two middle nephews are, since their mother - my sister - is an American married to a Brit.
3. I do fear confrontation. I have a hell of a time asserting myself. I grew up believing that it is always good to avoid fights at all costs, including in relationships. If I have such a fight, I fold up like a deck chair.
4. The closest I have ever come to witnessing a sports brawl is this. Third picture down.
5. I have never been married, but even at age 41 I fully believe I one day will be.
6. I joined this board as Mr. Laser Beam (it had nothing to do with baseball, it was an Alan Parsons Project reference), switched to Babaganoosh for a while, then back to my original name.
7. The only operas I like are those written by Philip Glass (my favorite composer).
8. I know why a Lieutenant General outranks a Major General even though Major outranks Lieutenant.
9. I am not, OTOH, the very model of either.
10. I never pledged a frat while in college, though I considered it. Found what I considered to be the least-hazing frat on campus but eventually I chickened out.

Might as well and join the party and do another one.

1. I'm a very pragmatic person, and always try to see the good in a person first.

2. I have to be the first person to read something, especially Newspapers. If someone else reads the newspaper first, I won't even touch it. Which is sad, I often miss reading the circulars and thats the best part of the Newspaper.

3. I don't like Star Trek:TOS, however I love the Kirk era movies.

4. I have never caught a foul ball at a professional baseball game. I have been going to Mets & Yankees games since I was about 9 years old. In the last few years, I have come close. A ball hit off a guy sitting in the row in front of me but bounced away.

5. I have a very low friends count on Facebook and I like to keep it that way. I don't just like to add people because I know you, like your a friend of a friend or family member. I usually go through and delete people every few months. If you don't participate on my wall or when I post on yours, why have you as a friend. I'm also very proud of the fact that I have never "liked" anything. If there is something I like, I make a comment. So no "liking" necessary.

6. I played my first good round of golf ever this past November. Was at a conference at the Grove Park Inn, in Asheville NC. I only played 9 holes but I had 1 double bogy, 7 bogies, and 1 par. Which for me was the best I have ever played.

7. To go with the last one, I live footsteps from Bethpage State Park where the US Open was held a few year back. I can walk to the golf course from my house but have only played at it once.

8. I was the very first person in my family to graduate from College and my sister was the second. Several other family members have gone to college but never graduated.

9. I started a novel about 7 years ago and got halfway through but haven't finished it.

10. I was in a band for a few years, even thought I can't sing or really play an instrument. I was the "percussion" person, which meant I played a little electirc drums, cowbell, and other miscellaneous percussion pieces. Hell it was the 80's and it was about making noise and getting chicks.

Might as well join it. This late in the year I am in the mood to open things up to a bunch of strangers so this year shouldn't be any different right?

Anyway:

1) I'm 27 years old and Single

2) I have a few friends, but only one that is in the area in which I live

3) I love sports, especially Hockey and Football (Watching as I don't really play sports. I did try Soccer when I was younger)

4) I love all the Star Trek series, and think Star Trek Voyager is unfairly maligned

5) I'm a catholic, but I don't agree with a lot of what the Catholic Church preaches these days (Such as Gay Marriege). For that reason, I don't really go to church every weekend and I still live by the model of What Would Jesus Christ say and do.

6) I majored in Accounting, but it's been tough to find a job so I've mostly been a substitute Custodian for a school district. Will find something in my field one of these days though

7) I'm not entirely good with strangers and might come across as anti-social. Spending a lot of time with people will allow me to open up a lot more, however.

8) I'm such a Sports fan that I don't jump at every TV series that comes out. This means I've never seen such critically acclaimed series as: The Wire, The Serpranos, Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead (Don't like Zombies so this is a choice), Breaking Bad, Mad Men, pretty much anything on Cable

9) I do have a bit of an acne problem

10) I can lose my temper quite easily, even to a point where one day I punched a hole in my bedroom door (It was a hollow door and didn't go all the way through).

11) I know it was only 10, but a +1, I have an older brother who just turned 30.

I've been busy, so I haven't much time to repost more old trivia. I'll join in for now.

1. I love Panera's selection of sandwiches and salads. Right now I'm eating their Harvest Turkey salad.

2. I don't dislike children. At one point, I even thought about getting married and having kids someday. I love my nephews and nieces.

3. I'm not a big fan of Facebook. Most of my FB contacts are worthless and non responsive, and I'm tempted to just delete my account but hesitate to lose some people I like staying in touch with.

4. Despite the fact that my boss is a double faced liar who talk behind people's backs, I get along well with him. Go figure.

5. I got a lot of neat gift cards from family and friends for Christmas.

6. One of these days, I'll muster up enough courage to buy a copy of DNA magazine at the bookstore.

7. I used to be quite a DC Comic collector, but I scaled back on the purchase of trade paperbacks this past year.

8. I shop at Target religiously.

9. I need to get the hell out and travel more. Next year, I want to go on a cruise.

10. I drive a 2011 Corolla but would really like a Camaro.
