There's also a video of the props and costumes if you prefer that. The video is fairly short, but does give you a better look at the small details that aren't as clear in the pictures.IGN said:"After the events of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war."
Trailer has dropped.
Looks absolutely awful generic action shit.
I love the way they're combining traditional African and futuristic stuff.
And that type of creative thinking which follows through in the design and presentation as seen in the trailer is a far cry from "generic".The way I saw the production designer explain it in an interview was that she was basically imagining how Africa would've developed if colonialism had never happened. So it's not just lifting stuff from the past and grafting some high-tech stuff onto it, it's extrapolating how it might have evolved over time if European influences had never come into the picture. I think that's an intriguing idea, from both a creative and a historical/cultural standpoint.
Damn! That is an incredible looking trailer. I've been waiting for this since back in the 80's when it was rumored that Wesley Snipes would play the lead. Early 30's Snipes would still be my first choice, but Chad Bozeman will do just fine.
