Cool... another Walmart associate here on the boards! What store do you work at? I'm at Yelm, WA #3705. I came in at a quarter to midnight and worked until 9 AM, so I was pretty much there for the whole event. Likewise, we didn't have any major scuffles or disorderly customers. People were courteous and friendly and everything flowed well.
My temporary assignment to night shift ended as of this morning, so after getting off at 9 AM I spent the rest of the day running around other stores checking out deals and trying not to think about being tired. Anyway, it's been a roller-coaster ride of a day. I've been up for 24 hours, and am now finally getting ready for bed.
For yet another season, I think it is safe to say that Capitalism remains alive and well. As far as my personal Black Friday shopping is concerned, I purchased 4 movies, a book, and a fake WWII dagger... and lots and lots of coffee.
