The only thing Dwayne has done that annoyed me was his insistence on being champion for his brief run against Cena. So WWE takes the belt off C.M Punk, who was VERY popular at the time, and squashed all his momentum by having him attack the Rock and turning heel. In my opinion WWE should have reminded him that his match against Hogan had no belt on the line and it was the biggest draw of the whole night. The audience didn't care about the Triple H vs Jericho match afterwards because Hogan vs The Rock was such an awesome match that the audience was spent. So why do we have to kill another performer's momentum just for you to have a belt against Cena?

I seriously doubt that was the Rock’s decision. That reeks of Vince. Wanting their rematch to be a title match to make it more enticing. Instead it just made the result predictable.
