Bizarre New Transwarp Ship in '09 SOTL Calendar

^ I'm not an expert but I remember seeing a ship (I think it was the Bonaventure) in an episode before.

Thanks guys for the comments and thanks Andrew! :)

The "wing" on top is part of the QSD system that monitors the external conditions of the Slipstream environment. (it also gives minor lift in an atmosphere.) It's a platform for QSD compensation sensors. By keeping them out of the main hull (independent) it's easier to modify and replace parts, even when away from outposts and starbases. Same goes for the pylons, they are not fused to the hull, but are heavy clamped for easy upgrading.

I hope to have some new clayrenders from the backside, when I got my machine up and running again!

Anyone ever seen this starship before? This is the first I've heard of it.

Funny, but the ship looks great even though the image of the actual craft itself looks very TNG/VOY-era. Rather conventional looking for a transwarp ship. It's the transwarp conduit background effect that makes it look extraordinary.

All told though, she is a neat looking little starship. What would she be classified as? Corvette? Long-range shuttle? Super-runabout? Thoughts, anyone?
