So who in the main cast hasn’t been introduced. Also if you’re on the bridge shouldn’t you have a bigger role. Heck even the rotating ensigns on TNG at least got some names.

Burnham hasn't been a bridge officer since episode 2, since Lorca just gave her a bridge posting in EP6, I expect we'll be seeing more of the bridge crew.
Well I suppose the cast is filled. I just mean Tyler officially joined the crew this episode.
I actually like that they haven't dealt with the bridge crew much, so far. It is refreshing. With Discovery's instajump/instakill tactics (and the fact they havent been shown going many places) there isn't a lot to show them doing, so far.
Indeed, there's very little action involving the bridge in the first place. A lot of the stuff rotates around engineering instead.
What I'm more intrigued about is the lack of appearances by the CMO. What gives? Is it an AI, lacking a physical body to flaunt?
Oh, well. Next Sunday apparently isn't when we find out.

Actually, that was the mistake Voyager and Enterprise made, assuming that just because they're a bridge officer they should be in the main cast. That resulted in characters like Harry Kim or Travis Mayweather.
Actually, she's the operations officer. The helmsman is Lt. Detmer, the redhead with cybernetic implant over her eye.
According to David Mack's novel, the One with the Helmet was a human, the helmet is just part of Shenzhou's tactical systems. Yes, I know, non canon, but the writers did allow David Mack's backstories for the background Shenzhou crew to be handed out to the actors on set so they could use this in aid to their performances.

And yet, this one, like Cause and Effect, is about the ship reliving its destruction over and over again.

Sign me up for all of these! I love that we've already done my favorite Trek trope, the character abducted while traveling by shuttle from a meeting/conference. Is there any more dangerous activity in the entire Federation than traveling to a conference? The UFP needs to get more into teleconferencing for these things...

The thing that made Cause and Effect so unique among time loop stories is that we didn't have the Bill Murray character, the one who remembers previous loops. It added an interesting twist on solving the mystery.
From the preview I think the issue is that he needs to figure out what the hell is going on and stop it.

I liked the look of the preview for next week, a time loop would certainly explain Stamets delayed reflection in the mirror if that was the precursor to it.
