Billy Mays autopsy result

Who's Billy May?

Bill Mays is a fairly well-known infomercial spokesman who passed away Sunday afternoon.

Probably best known for the "OxyClean" line of products and his appearence on Discovery's "Pitchmen." He's the hirsute, blue shirt-wearing, "voice projecting" guy.

Candlelight, totally unknown over here (NZ/Aus).

While it's a shame when anyone dies (especially someone my own age), I cannot get worked up at all for an infomercial pitchman.

But he's like an american icon ;) :p

I sort of agree with you, its hard to get worked up over it but at least in the US you really couldnt have watched TV without seeing the guy's face. On top of that, he really did have a great voice and an excellent salesman's pitch

I've noticed I feel sadder for his passing than for any other celebrity ones lately. Watching him on Pitchmen showed not only was he a devoted husband and father but a caring person to others as well. He's a genuinely nice guy who was finally hitting it big and helping others where he could.

Here's one from the Too Soon department...

Ok, that made me laugh.

Probably a fitting tribute to him. It's almost morbid but at the same time you can't help at least smirk at it.

I've gotten around to watching the "Pitchmen" marathon that ran on Disovery a couple weeks ago following Mays' death.

It's pretty sad as the guy comes across so nice and genuine and in one of the episodes we see him in his home, interacting with his young daughter. :(

Discovery is airing a new Billy Mays tribute episode of Pitchmen tonight at 9pm, for those who are interested.

I'm watching. I'll bet my dad is also. We finally caught up yesterday and he was saddened by the passing as well.

Wow, this episode is pretty funny.

The special was nicely done. High marks to TDC for that. My only complaint is that once, maybe twice during what is supposed to be a special about saying good-bye to him, they make sure to itterate this is the end of "Season one"; now's not the time to market the series.

I would love to see them do a second season about the search for the 'next' Billy Mays... only to find there is no replacement... that would be the ultimate tribute.
