News Billy Dee Williams to Return in Episode 9

He should have been back in TLJ to take command instead of Laura Dern. Much to late to be pulling out this leader out of thin air by this point. Hopefully he will have a big role and I hope they are doing this because they want to and not because they are running low on Iconic older characters from the Classic movies. The big question is will he be pan-sexual. Looks like fandom has a new thing to fight about until now and forever.:eek:

I'm looking forward to the happy ending he got between movies. Maybe he became a gambling addict and lives in a gutter somewhere.
 
FIrst scene will be a "Back to the Future part II" type of moment that takes place in "Force Awakens" as soon as FIn and Rey steal the Falcon. We will see parts of that scene again but then cut to a old shack were he has been living and he comes out yelling 'Thieves! Bring back my ship!"

In the last EU novel he was the boss of the Kessel mine. Would make a neat tie to the Solo movie.

As reported by THR, Billy Dee Williams will be back in Episode 9 playing the ever loveable Lando.
Does this news get you excited for the movie? Is he back to take back the Falcon?
I expect he’s back so he can also be unceremoniously killed off as well. :)

Maybe he'll be one of those allies in the Outer Rim who Leia was hoping would help the Resistance regroup.

Han died trying to save his son from the dark side after planting bombs for his third assist in destroying a planet killer superweapon.

Luke died stalling a First Order attack on the last surviving members of the Resistance by Force astral projecting across half the freakin' galaxy to troll duel Kylo Ren, allowing the Resistance to escape with the help of Rey who he just trained to continue the Jedi legacy. And then he transformed into the Force to "become more powerful than you could possibly imagine".

I have a lot of issues with both films, including TLJ's earlier treatment of Luke, but in no way did Han or Luke die "unceremoniously."

I think many times people are just joking. Like did you know in a earlier draft of TLJ that Solo,Yoda,Mace Windu,Liam Neelson,Ben Kenobi,R2 and Threepio.Darth Vadar and Bubba Fett were all suppose to have came back from the dead via someone figuring out how to make force ghost solid or other means only to die offscreen with Ackbar in the throwaway line when the bridge was exposed to space. They would have been not seen but just offscreen in the background fiddling with dials and doing, bridge stuff.

But I thought he would have a scene were he goes gets a little plastic surgery and walks out looking like Donald Glover?
