How do you figure that? He can't be seen under the makeup. It's not like he's not up to it physically. So what's the issue?
Besides, 61 isn't old. Look at Stallone and Ford.

They are presumably going to want to make more though and starting the franchise with a 61 year old actor is not a good idea. They made Freddie Movies for 20+ years, there's every chance Englund is not gonna be able to do it at 81.

^ You also have to factor in that a lot of actors/actresses from the 80s/90s era are retiring from acting work. I read that that's one of the reasons Rick Moranis isn't returning for the Ghostbusters game.
