I think the idea of him being a ghost is absurd. None of the ghosts shown in the movie have been shown to have any level of inteligence of "sentience."

Vigo did.

Timby May I inquire as to the fallout between Ramis and Murray, I haven't heard of that before.
They're going to put even more stuff on the roof and it won't be able to go around corners really fast without tipping over.As long as they don't fuck around too much with Ecto-1, [Zoidberg]I'm up for whatever[/Zoidberg].
A lot of this stuff is out of date, latest news is that Sigourney is back in again.
Right. For the first time ever, the film is officially in pre-production; the script is in the revision stage and design work has been underway for a few months. This is the closest it's ever been to actually happening.
I have a hunch that Venkman gets killed off in the early goings, prompting the Ghostbusters to realize that, to borrow a phrase from another series, they're too old for this shit. This leads to the hiring of the "new Ghostbusters," who, while proving themselves capable, are no match against the ultimate threat, leading the originals to suit up again and save the day. And then there's a Venkman ghost cameo shoved in there.I like the "Bill as ghost" concept.
Last I heard was that he won't be in Ghostbusters 3.I thought Rick Moranis was coming back and only said no to the game?

Moranis is very mercurial, and he enjoys retirement very much. I have no doubt that everyone would like him to return, but I doubt he will unless the script knocks his socks off.

Apparently his wife died, and he's focusing his time with his kids.

Not "apparently" -- his wife passed away in 1991 from liver cancer, and he took what was intended to be a hiatus from acting for a while to raise his children, who were very young at the time (although they're grown, now). Eventually, he realized that he didn't miss making movies all that much, and that hiatus became retirement. He had made his money in the '80s and early '90s, and he had spent it wisely, so he didn't need to work. Good for him.
