For me, perhaps the episodes which felt most like they rewarded my years of loyal watching of the Trekverse with a big punch in the face were 'Fury', 'Endgame', and 'These Are The Voyages'.
'Fury' comes to mind because it utterly raped the character of Kes. Why was she suddenly angry and bitter at the crew of Voyager upon her return when she had never demonstrated this behaviour previously?
'Endgame' because it just felt like the producers didn't care any more, and were too busy working on getting ENT started. Out of the blue characterisations like the ridiculous Chakotay/Seven pairing felt like they were just taking the piss.
'These Are the Voyages' perhaps is now the most infamous episode in Trek history. Berman's notorious promise that it would be a valentine to the fans is now a catchphrase among fandom. Instead of having a sendoff for the ENT crew, they turned it into a TNG episode (even getting the details for that show wrong in the process).
What do you think are the biggest insults to fandom?
