Big Bang Theory Season 9 Discussion (Spoilers included)

And just because you don't like it or consider it not good doesn't mean it's bad.. subjective opinions ;)

Liked this episode. The stuff with Leonard and Sheldon trying to get their hands on the liquid helium was great, and it was nice seeing Michael Rapaport again (I think the last time I saw him in something was in the 90s, propably "Kicked in the Head"). Parsons and Rapaport were fantastic together. The parts with everybody else "trying to find a date for Amy" was pretty funny, too.

I've seen him on Black-ish and The Nightly Show recently.

My roommate and I watched an episode (not sure if it was the newest.) and while watching it I went "Remember when this show was funny". I think there are just too many characters and just don't have the group together enough.

Whenever Leonard and Sheldon are involved in shenanigans it usually ends up being amusing. This episode was pretty good. It is still a struggle to get all the cast involved in a 22 minute episode, but the vehicle they used this time (trying to find Amy some dates) was good.

Leonard Nimoy's son, Adam, will be making a guest appearance on next week's episode. So I'm guessing Sheldon will have to deal with another one of his childhood heroes dying.

To each their own, but TBBT has fallen into the "Shows I Watch Because I Have Invested Too Much Time In Them Not To Know What Happens" category, which previously held Under The Dome and Resurrection.

Sheldon's antics (which I will admit I still laugh at from time to time) are stale. I can't stand Leonard anymore and the whole creepy Stuart thing wasn't funny the first million times they did it. I would've preferred they had Sheldon move in with Howard's mother somehow and then use that as comedy as Howard and Bernadette have to put up with him, especially cause it would have sped up the Leonard/Penny storyline from the will they/won't there circles.

I hope it ends soon and can go out with some semblance of what it was.

Aww. Sheldon. Sweetie, come here *hugs* It will be okay.

Great to see Bernadette's dad again. Way to go with the sex comments, Howard.

Raj speaks the truth.

So my DVR cut off the last few minutes. What was the bit with Sheldon watching STAR TREK about? I caught only a glimpse of it.

He says that Spock's way of life (surpressing emotions) is a lie. Obviously because sooner or later a person will give in to their emotions (him loving Amy and getting heartbroken). Leonard tells him that he should start focusing on the real people in his life, not fictional characters.

Did you see the bit where Sheldon went to Amy's place with the ring?

I saw the bit where Sheldon saw Amy kissing the other guy. Then I caught a glimpse of some sort of epilogue that featured a clip from TOS. Not what that was about.

It was the scene from Where No Man... where Spock tells Kirk that his (Spock's) opinion of what to do about Gary is better because he has no emotions to get in the way. Sheldon, poopoos Spock's assertion, having now realized that he (Sheldon) was wrong about that.

Sheldon moving in with Howard's mother makes NO sense story wise or character wise.

And how does saying Leonard and Penny, a married couple, are going to split their time between two apartments to satisfy him. For pete's sake, move Raj in with him or something.

Got it. Thanks!

(And thanks, Janeway's Girl, too.)
