NCC-1701, concentrating as I was on your avatar I did make an error in incorrectly addressing you. I assure you that it was inadvertant and was not intended to insult you.

As to my other points, they are sufficient and I stand by them - as I'm entitled to, and as you are quite entitled to disagree with. I don't think there's anything to be served by going over old ground.

No offense but you seem a little crazy, can we please stick on topic rather than talking rubbish like suggesting this should be put in the fan fiction forum ? and questioning if someone with a DS9 avatar can be a fan of TNG...thank you...

And I liked Beverly, I found her very pleasant to look at as well - very good figure, I just noticed recently her dancers' legs! They're ginormous!

Actually I do take "offence" at being called "crazy" as you clearly intended that I should.

You didn't even have a dog in this fight - which by the way - if you'd actually read my last post to NCC-1701 - was concluded, with me apologising for my error and stating that otherwise I had already made my points and saw no reason to continue the debate.

So by all means, off you go and post to your heart's content about what Beverly Crusher's legs do for you. Are you really saying that this is the quality of posting required to "stick on topic"?

Vacuous is the word that comes to mind but hey, no offence.

If I were to be as presumptuous and judgemental as you, I could say "gay" was the first word that came to mind (because you don't like Beverly's legs) but I'm not and therefore won't, so please don't make assumptions about me based on a couple of forum posts.

Back on topic please..

I'm glad they brought her back, I found Pulaski to be a bit of Bones type of character. I loved Maldaur's roles in TOS and loved her on LA Law but did not like her on TNG.

I voted for Crusher to come back, but I wish they'd kept both characters, as they were both great!

I didn't think I would like Dr. 'P' when I watched season 2 for the first time recently, but she was not that bad. I kinda liked her attitude. But as far as my favorite, I would go with Dr Crusher. I like her chemistry with JLP a lot better :)

My preference is also towards Crusher, though I have a feeling this may be due to familiarity, it was a while before I saw season 2 episodes with her in them. By that point, I was already comfortable with the chemistry that had developed between Crusher and the rest of the crew, so seeing the 'outsider' probably threw me off kilter.

I suppose objectively I still prefer Crusher due to the fact she seemed to have a more 'softer' handling of people (much better bedside manner, if you ask me), even though she was capable of being firm, and performing duties as an officer as well as doctor. That and the idea of replicating the McCoy/Data dynamic which I'm hearing here seems a bit...'cheap' to me. Other will disagree with me on this one.

Stay Away.

While I liked Crusher somewhat, she's just so colorless, so dull, so vanilla... especially compared to the good doctor P.

So when it comes to chief medical officers serving aboard the big E, I really have to say that I preferred Pulaski by a lightyear, she has so much more attitude, edge, and personality than Bev.

The Picard/Chrusher thing was nice, but it just never went anywhere, not even in the movies (where Jean-Luc has a new girlfriend in each installation). And it's so frustrating waiting 15 long years for a romance that never happens.

Bringing Muldaur onto TNG was a stroke of genius. Pulaski's sarcasm (plus the fact that she was the only other full commander on the ship after Riker) gave her a presence that was a breath of fresh air. McCoy was my favorite character on TOS, and my favorite overall in all of STAR TREK. I always loved McCoy's wit, and missed the sarcasm in TNG. Pulaski brought it back. It was a shame she was cast aside.

I love how she vented in the briefing lounge in "Where Silence Has Lease". She was the only one that made sense in the entire episode.

Crusher any day. If nothing else, she was easier the eye. Plus, I never liked Pulaski's crotchety doctor schtick. It almost a stereotype.

Both. Surely a ship the size of the Enterprise merits more than one doctor! If Starfleet follows a 24/7 duty roster there are 168 hours a week to be filled by a primary doctor - certainly neither Crusher or Pulaski can or should be on duty for all of them! I suggest there should be four head doctors and perhaps even a spare (EMH notwithstanding).

I agree. I think they should have kept them both! Not sure about 4 head drs though...lol. I think two would have been enough for the show.

I love Beverly Crusher and I really really like Gates McFadden but I also like Diana Muldar(sp) as an actress too. However...when Pulaski was on the show for that year something seemed missing so I was very glad to see Beverly back! :)

Pulaski was, almost always, nails-on-chalkboard grating to me. She certainly had a few decent moments scattered throughout the season but, for the most part, I found the character to be too much of a nuisance.

Crusher wasn't a perfect character, but I could tolerate and enjoy her more than Pulaski.

I HATED Pulaski so it's a no brainer. In retrospect, she should have been a much better character but IMO it just never worked. Instead of the "playful" Spock/Bones banter, the Pulaski/Data exchanges just came off as mean spirited. That may have been more of the fault of how they portrayed Data as the innocent fool the first couple of seasons than Pulaski. But still, at the time, I couldn't stand her.

Data was an innocent, and because of this, Pulaski did look mean spirited whenever she complained about him, or argued with him.

Watching McCoy and Spock go at it was more fun because Spock wasn't an innocent, and he often gave as good as he got.

I voted for Crusher, btw. I liked the character and actress far better.

A little off topic but in one of the relaunch books it was mentioned that Picard offered Pulaski the CMO role on the Enterprise-E after Crusher left at the end of Nemesis. She turned him down.
