Ro was fine, but Kira/ Nana performed some shows that were way beyond anything they ever could have done with Ro, given her Starfleet background.

I do wonder if they might've had a story, such as the "Circle trilogy" wanting Starfleet out that sees Ro conflicted between her oath as a Starfleet officer and her Bajoran heritage that might've seen her siding with the latter, could've added some interesting dynamics to the crew once the corruption was exposed and Sisko retakes the station and Ro is representing the Bajoran Militia.

Helps that they never felt the need to put them in Lycra workout gear and spend a whole scene stretching for the camera. Good Lord was that uncomfortable to watch.

...Yes...uncomfortable. That's how 13 year old me felt...
