Best woman for Kirk

Reaching afield I vote for Lursa and B'Etor, from TNG. Part of what Kirk requires from a relationship is the kind of companion that can engage him intellectually, keeping these two for killing him would do that. Kirk also needs companionship that complete him sexually, two Klingon women working hard in relays might just be able to satisfy Kirk.

I always liked Carol Marcus. I don't know if she counts, since she's technically not from TOS, but from the movies. However, I always saw her as the "blonde lab tech" that Gary Mitchell once mentioned.
Like all of the women that Kirk really fell hard for, she was attractive, smart, dedicated, and didn't swoon at the sight of him. She was a challenge, and independent.
I think because she was from his own time, she gains a few points imho.

I would say that of the women we saw on TOS, Edith Keeler was the one Kirk had the greatest chemistry with and the most emotional connection with. Joan Collins was great in that role.

I think the one that had the most emotional connection with him was Miramanee, but Kirk wasn’t exactly himself.

The one with whom he had the greatest sexual chemistry was Martia in Kirk form.

Of course, they kept his affair with Amanda off camera.
