Best way to watch DS9?

All of the Trek shows are on Netflix and I watch on my large computer monitor from bed and the quality is pretty nice! More importantly, I hope you enjoy the rewatch! My bf and I just did a rewatch of DS9 as well and now we're on VOY (watching all the series in order). DS9 is amazing, I hope you have fun!

I'm watching the DVDs literally at this moment, going through all 7 seasons again, and starting up Voyager when it aired concurrently with DS9, after season 3 episode 'Past Tense' part 2. The video quality of early seasons isn't great, but it does get better as the seasons go on. It's not blu-ray quality and you kinda just gotta accept that until they remaster both DS9 & Voyager, if that ever happens.

I don't understand this topic. Watch on Netflix. What's the problem? The picture quality is pretty high despite not being in HD.

it looks bad on Netflix too, on this TV at least. I don't have another TV to try it out on, but I would imagine the smaller the screen, the less resolution the TV has, the better it will look. But both my TV and my computer monitor are 4K and I guess that's where the pixelation comes from. I just need to get my hands on an older, smaller TV with less resolution.

Because it's nothing like what you describe. And because some of us live in 2019.
It seems to really bother you that I don't care for Netflix's financial model, that I prefer to own my media. I try to avoid monthly service charges for things that I could just buy once and not pay for continually. I don't rent my car or my house either. There's nothing new in having a rent vs. own options for things.

If you live in Europe, then try to download the series if that is possible.
Netflix can't be trusted due to their habit of suddenly removing certain series after a while and the DVD:s which Paramount has shipped to Europe are subtsandard crap which will be impossible to watch after one viewing.

Yes, unfortunately I live in 2019. A s**t year!

kkt is right about Netflix and the whole 2010's decade is the most boring and useless ever when it comes to entertainment. The music s***s and so does the TV series and the movies.

The best way to watch DS9 is on a big-screen TV, sitting back in your comfy easy chair with a bowl of popcorn and some micro-brew.

What? Why would I care about how you feel about their financial model? Why does anyone even care about their financial model?

I have found watching on my computer monitor to be acceptable. By the middle of the first season the quality is a little better. Still not great, but good enough that it's not a distraction. I need to get a more comfortable chair that fits under my desk now.
