Best Two-Parter Edited into a Movie?

Heck yeah they did not know how to continue TBOBW once they reached the cliffhanger. I knew that even at the time in 1990 without aid of internet, your right there my friends.

Starlog, Starlog, Starlog!! Yup i remember reading in the summer 1990 issues how fans thought the story should be concluded. Found out after the writers did not know either how Part 2 would be concluded after they wrote part 1.

Yep Starlog magazine was our scifi internet back in those days. I still have all those magazines stored away.

As for movies, BOBW had a movie like cinema soundtrack, thats for sure.

Makes me nostalgic for my old Starlog collection, unfortunately I took most of them apart and stapled them to the walls of my room where I used to live.

Rick Berman's argument was that the music was so epic that it was detracting from the episodes...to which my response is, don't write shitty episodes and we won't have to resort to the music to find something good about it...

Berman must have been out of his mind. Music is a good thing and helps an episode or film along.

IMHO The music was what stopped TNG getting canned, because in the first couple of seasons it saves the dreary episodes...

Whereas in BOBW the story is so epic that you don't realise how awesome the music is until you watch an episode of Voyager and BOBW back to back...

If they'd had epic episodes, the music wouldn't have been noticable...

And thank you! It has brought me no tangible increase in power, but I'm enjoying the camaraderie of the Commie lounge!

As well you should! It suits you! I agree, I will need to go back and rewatch BOBW but from meory the music was great but not overkill.

The music was so epic that it warranted a release of the soundtrack - but because the episodes were so epic, it just fits!
