Best Season 4 of any series.

And here comes the toughest poll for me yet. I think all the series had strong fourth seasons. Until Enterprise came along, my answer was always DS9.Great addition with Worf,plus awesome episodes like Way of the Warrior,The Visitor,Hypocratic oath,Homefront/Paradise Lost etc...But I have to go with Enterprise.

Enterprise finally got a competent show runner who knew something about Trek history. We got episodes dealing with the beginning of Section 31,we got to see more of planet Vulcan and the meaning of IDIC,we got an explanation of the different Klingons thoughout the eras,episodes dealing with the Eugenic wars,the martian colonies,and a two parter set in the Mirror Universe.If only it had been like this from the beginning......

For me, I think it was Voyager personally. Everything just seemed so much better.

This was surprisingly close IMO.

After much pondering, I went with DS9, just too many standout episodes.

Although I'd just maintain that there's really not much between any of them, they're all fairly strong.

Enterprise Season 4.

It's a cliché but I really couldn't wait to tune in again next week... (or should that be illegally download? )

I have of course made my peace with Paramount and bought them in glorious DVD quality to sit on the shelf, but I can't help thinking official downloads could've partially funded a fifth season. Probably at a further reduction in episodes, down to 13 or so.

They actually did a poll awhile back on this board that specifically compared TNG season 4 to Enterprise's. Enterprise won.

Personally, This is a very difficult toss up between DS9 and Voyager. But Voyager takes the title for me. Season Four contained some of my favorites, including Scorpion Part II, The Killing Game, and of course, Year of Hell.

ENT got a lot better in its fourth season but it was only starting to approach DS9 quality, not there yet. My vote goes to DS9.

This is a tough one. TNG and DS9 had superb fourth seasons. VOY and ENT's fourth seasons are both probably their best outings, period. But in the end... DS9 barely beats out TNG here. "The Best of Both Worlds" and "Family" versus "The Way of the Warrior" and "The Visitor"... how could I chose?

For me, easily DS9. Come season 4, it REALLY got into gear and went above and beyond the other three shows by a wide margin.
I've started rewatching S4. And all I can say is: I REALLY miss this show.

Wow, this IS a tough one.

DS9 presented WoTW and The Visitor, two episodes I consider all time Trek classics.

However, with the Andorian, Vulcan, and Augments arcs, the innovative use of pre-credits teasers, the reinvented and equally innovative Mirror episodes, plus Demons/Terra Prime, which beautifully introduced humanity's all important struggle with itself, the edge goes to ENT.

DS9 is a close second as both seasons helped take their series off, but TNG and VOY started heading downhill after this.

DS9. To me, Enterprise never got as good as season 1 DS9, let alone season 4.
