Best Moment EVER in STNG

These are all great - here are a few more:

"You go back and tell your leaders - we'll be watching"

"What do you say, Tomalak? Shall we die togther?"

From Darmok - "That attempt was more important to him than his own life"

And the ep, name of which I can't think of right now, where Data has the relationship with the woman. After she leaves him, he sits alone in the dark and Spot jumps into his lap. That damn scene chokes me up whenever I see it. Along with the admiral describing Data trying to save Lal in "The Offspring".

Picard walking onto the bridge in the nick of time in Darmok and communicating fluently with the alien first officer for one thing...

and another that seems to have been overlooked: Picard's scene with Guinan in "Yesterday's Enterprise":

"Not good enough, damnit!!! Not good enough!" one of the few times they really let picard chew the scenery and he hits it out of the park...

You mean "In Theory?" Yeah, that's a pretty interesting episode. Those are both good scenes.

I'm an Inner Light fan too.

I loved the poker games, and two scenes come to mind as favorites:

1. I think its in Lower Decks...Geordi tries to call Riker's bluff, only to find out that this time, Riker was not bluffing. He blurts out, "I can't believe this!" and Riker responds with, "I'm your worst nightmare."

2. When Geordi, Worf and Riker are playing poker with Beverly and they begin discussing beards. They end up with the wager that if the guys lose, they must shave their beards, and if she loses, she had to color her hair into brunette.

The poker scenes were always fun.

During "The Ensigns of Command," directly after Picard has successfully outmaneuvered the Shelliak and ordered communications cut.

"You enjoyed that."

"You're damned right I did."

:guffaw:

So did I.

Ooh--I've got one! In "Darmok", when they shot a phaser out of the photon torpedo tube. Although, as a show in first-run syndication, it was being watched in a wide variety of timeslots...you could still almost hear the sound of every Trek geek in the world hitting the ceiling in unison.

Is it wrong to really like the scene in "Redemption, Part 2" when B'Etor is coming on to Worf?

"The Inner Light"
• Picard playing his flute by the window.

"Relics"
• Scotty materializes.
• Scotty and Geordi finally bond: "... So you soured the milk!"

From "All Good THings..."

WORF: Four hands in a row. How does he do it?
RIKER: I cheat.
DATA: (looks up, stunned)
RIKER: I'm kidding!

:rommie: :rommie: :rommie:

... I have a story my sister tells about BoBWII. This all happened on a night part II was being rerun.

It's a terrific cliff-hanger... Riker facing Locutus and calmly ordering "Fire".

Sitting in the small, university town, dinner around 1990 she noticed it was almost time for TNG to be rerun on the regional cable channel. Everyone in the dinner was a student and, in the dead of winter back then, cable TV was a must! About that moment a guy got up from his booth telling his friends; "it's almost 7, we'll miss Star Trek" or something like that.

Apparently, the entire dinner emptied in five minutes.

Hmmmmm...that's a tough question! I haven't seen TNG in a while. Are these "the Best!"--probably not, but for me, they were all memorable.

Almost any 60 seconds of Measure of a Man, Data's a Toaster, Is he sentient--I don't know--let's find out (or whatever it was), etc. etc. etc.

Next phase, Geordi at the end, scarfing food, "I'm hungry!"

Final scenes of Timescape--the real story.

I'd agree with the Cause and Effect ship explosions.

To Thine Own Self--Troi ordering Geordi to his death or Crusher and Riker finding Data's body and talking to the little girl.

Who Watches the Watchers--Picard putting his life on the line.

Disaster--Worf: you are fully dialated, you may give birth.

End of Clues even if Data looked emotional.

Night Terrors--revelation that there's another ship, it zooms off at the end, and they never acutally speak to the Enterprise crew.

Final Picard/Riker talk at end of Tapestry.

Another good one:
"Not good enough, damn it, NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"
- Picard to Guinan, on her intuition to send the Ent-C back through the wormhole

It's a close call for me.

Either the 1701D taking on three BoPs at the end of Yesterday's Enterprise, or Tamalak's face as the BoPs de-cloak at the end of The Defector.

That scene in ST:FC in which the Defiant is taking a pounding from the Borg, Worf's about do a kamikaze run on the cube, when a Defiant officer screams out:

"Sir, there's another starship coming in. IT'S THE ENTERPRISE!"

Worf stands at attention, knowing that his family has come to the rescue.

Made me want to shout "Fuck Yeah!" in theaters first time I saw it.

^ And the way the Enterprise does that cool flyby between the Defiant and the Borg ship in that scene. :bolian:

I get goosebumps every time I see that particular scene. :D

J.

I totally agree about the closing moments of Inner Light; the closing moments of BoBW I; Measure of a Man.

I also really love this: "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Some of my favorite moments:

Family: Picard's breakdown in his vineyards. The end of the episode when Picard's nephew is sitting under a tree looking up at the stars. "Let him dream."

The Chase: The message from the alien where she says that they seeded the galaxy billions of years ago and that humans, klingons, romulans and some of the other alien races of Star Trek are all their offspring. Loved the different reactions from each person "That's it!" "It turns my stomach.". And then the last scene between the Romulan commander and Picard where they both seem to take the message to heart and say "Perhaps we are more alike." "Perhaps someday." or some such thing.

All Good Things..: "I should have done this a long time ago." "You were always welcome." "The sky's the limit."
