Best Moment EVER in STNG

I just now watched "The Measure of a Man" for the first time in years...my god, but that's a damned fine episode. It gets even better with time (or perhaps wisdom)....

Locutus:
"I am .. Locutus, of Borg. Your life, as it has been .. is over. From this time forward, you will service .. us."

Picard:
"Let's make sure that history never forgets .. the name .. Enterprise."

"Not good enough, dammit! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!" :D

"There! Are! FOUR! Lights!"

"What a piece of work is man! How noble in reason, how
infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and
admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a god!"

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Riker:
"Mr Worf: Fire."

"This is Captain William T. Riker of the USS Enterprise."

Worf:
"Sir, I protest! I am NOT a merry man!"

Q:
"You obtuse piece of flotsam! You are to be denied existence."

And for some reason, I always remember "...avoid all discussions of where, and when, they are.."

Yesterday's Enterprise when Picard jumps over the bridge rail.

Parallels when Worf finds himself on an Enterprise with Wesley Crusher, and the other manifestations and permutations of parallel universes - I wish they'd done more of them!

Disaster--Worf: you are fully dialated, you may give birth.

It's not a TNG episode, but I loved the DS9 scene where Jadzia(I think) tells Worf, Keiko is having a baby. And Worf responds, "Now???"

When Picard admitted to Wesley in a seaso n1 episode that he failed the Starfleet Entrance exam when he was Wesley's age. he told Wesley he may not admit that to anyone. It to me was a cute moment and it showed tha tPicard was not so much of a stiff as i thought. It actually demonstarted Jean-Luc's father figure ability.

How could I pick one moment???? Picard playing the Resikan flute at the end of "Inner Light?"

Can I cheat and pick the whole episode of "Yesterday's Enterprise??"

I've got 2, and both happen to feature the same thing:

1) Sela stepping from the shadows in "Redemption"
2) Troi seeing herself as a Romulan in the mirror in "Face Of The Enemy".

I'm gonna be lame and name the ending of BoBW, too. I just remember seeing that YEARS ago and, it being before I had internet, the dread I felt all summer.

Another moment I really liked was Riker asking the Enterprise to surrender in "A Matter of Honor". Sent chills down my spine.

In the episode "First Contact", the leader of the xenophobic planet has a terrific speech about waking up that morning believing his race to be the only sentient species in the universe, but knowing now that his people are only one voice in a universal chorus..."but it was a good day".

I love everything about that episode (IMHO, it's just about as good as Trek gets), but that speech really puts the episode over the top.

... I have a story my sister tells about BoBWII. This all happened on a night part II was being rerun.

It's a terrific cliff-hanger... Riker facing Locutus and calmly ordering "Fire".

Sitting in the small, university town, dinner around 1990 she noticed it was almost time for TNG to be rerun on the regional cable channel. Everyone in the dinner was a student and, in the dead of winter back then, cable TV was a must! About that moment a guy got up from his booth telling his friends; "it's almost 7, we'll miss Star Trek" or something like that.

Apparently, the entire dinner emptied in five minutes.

and if ST TNG had ended there it would have been far more highly, 4 years of mostly weak story telling followed by the abortion Voyager did it in

Hands down in the movie FC - "The line must be drawn here! No farther, and I will make them pay!!"

delivered by PS, the best actor of TNG in a rare but oh so needed emotional moment - TNG at its best

I'm not oging to say the obvious because, well, it's the obvious. And going to go with more dramatic moments.

Picard struggling with Sarek's emotions in "Sarek."

The poker game in AGT.

I have to echo two already mentioned: Picard's breakdown and fight with his brother in Family and the Admiral's describing Data's atempts to save Lal in The Offspring.

The confrontation with Tomalak in The Defector

Tomalak: I expected more from you than an idle threat Picard.
Picard: Then you shall have it.

And from the opening scenes of The Best of Both Worlds, Part 2

Locutus: Your resistance is hopeless... Number One.

Yes, all these are good. I must add the end of Data's day with the reveal of the ambassador as a spy. Lots of other wonderful moments in that ep. Just a brilliant teleplay and acting.

Because no one else here will say it:

The best moments ever took place between the time Jellico took command in "Chain of Command" and the time he left. Every time he gave an order and said "Get it done", I felt all warm and fuzzy. Think of that what you will. :)

I liked the Second Chances Episode, being a fan of the books "Imzadi." You got to see Riker in a different like. (thomas riker grabbing and flustering Troi was great)

Although the best was when Puicard met that chick and they dueted playing in the engineering spaces.
