Best episodes to study ship interiors

Hello Niners!

I want to go back and watch some DS9 episodes and also want to get a good look at the interiors of the starships, stations and perhaps buildings (buildings are a secondary interest though) of the various races of DS9 while I'm at it. What episodes would you all recommend that take place in, or just give the best view of ships of the Bajorans, Cardassians, and Dominon? Also what's the best episode for scoping out the interior of the Defiant?
Thanks!

One Little Ship is a good one for the Defiant as there are a couple of interesting angles when following the Runabout around... Plus seeing O'Brien and Bashir inside a computer bickering is always fun to rewatch.

Civil Defense is one I would also suggest. We got to see some of the Ore processing center and they were crawling through the station.

The Adversary features a hunt for a changeling through the Defiant, showing off lots of different parts of the ship. One Little Ship gives a detailed look at engineering.

The runabout interiors weren't featured much beyond the front area. If I am not mistaken, the only episode to show the living area of a runabout was Timescape.

Thanks guys! I will give these a watch then. I can't remembering seeing the insides of Cardassian or Bajoran ships at all. I found an episode that gives a good view of a Bajoran bridge several times ( season 7's Shadows and Symbols), but that's it so far.

Return to Grace featured a Cardassian military freighter.

The Ship and A Time To Stand for a Jem'hadar ship.

I think that and “The Siege” from season 2 are the only episodes, where we see the inside of a Bajoran ship. And in the case of the latter it's only the cockpit of an old Bajoran starfighter.

Don't we see the bridge of a Bajoran Impulse fighter in "Image in the Sand" when Kira blockades the Romulans?

Yup. I think we see Cardassian ship interiors in one episode only: "Emissary" shows Odo infiltrating a corridor juncture disguised as a bag of winnings. Apart from that, it's just brief background glimpses of bridges, and then that freighter (with bridge, quarters and cargo hold, the latter two done by recycling DS9 sets) from "Return to Grace".

It's surprising to realize they got away with not showing the interior of a single Cardassian Warship the whole series. Of course if any peaks inside of these ships were given in TNG I'd be interested in that too, though I'm guessing probably not.

...Cityscapes, random buildings, the Central Command facility in "Defiant". And a whole lot of imaginative and distinctive props.

Should there have been more spacecraft interiors shown, they would probably have been further creative reuses of parts of these station or planetside sets. Alas, we would never have seen enough to get an idea of the internal layout of something as big as Galor... Even back in TOS, that much smaller ship was portrayed by such a limited set of sets that we're still arguing basics such as "what is on Deck 2" or "where is Engineering" or "are curved corridors found only in the saucer".

Trying to figure out the smallish Defiant is at least halfway doable. These things are so much more fun when there's enough data to restrict our imaginations a bit!

To be fair, we see a lot of Cardassian military design: DS9, Empok Nor.
Good point. I suppose because of the station we actually see more Cardassian stylings than any other race in ST, other than Starfleet stuff.

Agreed!!

Not completely, in "Emissary" there is a scene on Gul Jasads bridge where he talks to a subordinate. It's a very quick scene, but it's there. Earlier in that episode, two Cardassian gamblers kicked out of Quarks being their latinum (and Odo) back to their ship. It's also a very brief scene, but we do see that their corridors are not carbon copies of the DS9 corridors.
