Best episodes of Sliders?

Liked the one where they go to the world with only women, that was interesting. Also liked the one where Remmie was an Elvis like figure. The pilot is also very good, the communist states of America is pretty revealing

Too bad Remmie's wife was such a gold digging C*nt.

there was also one when at the end the slid to a world where they wore no clothing , too bad the could follow that one
there were some that looked interesting at the end that they slid too.

what did you guys think about the characters?

the professor doesn't seem like a tv actor. he's kind of 'off putting' to look, but he's a great actor.

i really like quinn malllory. he was perfect for the role. good looking, strong sense of adventure and a real 'curious' personality.

John-Rhys Davies, the Professor, had been in a couple of television programs prior to 'Sliders' (namely an 'Incredible Hulk' special, 'Shogun')...as well as many feature films (namely the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy)...

He's a versatile actor, I think.

The other actors and actresses on the show were pretty good and likable; in regards to the storytelling, I need to go back and see how it holds up.

***

I believe there are episodes on Hulu.com.

I watched a bit of an episode some time ago with Kari Wurher (sp?) but it didn't seem like it dated that well. (That may be because the drop-off of quality that some of the others had mentioned in later seasons).

Lucky S.O.B dated Sarah Michelle Gellar!

I loved this series but once you lost the prof and started to have Quinn's twin etc I lost interest. Girls were gorgeous though. One question, when Arturo was shot and killed are we sure it was him? Are we sure it wasn't just his double from the other world?

I think there is an interview were the creator of the show talked about his wanting to make a movie, but no one will give him the rights to do so. In it they would ignore the later seasons as pretty much everyone being a double and that they only thought they landed on Earth Prime. That's how they would bring everyone back, it wasn't our characters that died.

The original characters were great. The new characters with their stupid reasons for sliding were... stupid.

i'm not even close to that part yet

okay, i just watched 'prince of walls' where the british won the war. it wasn't that great at all.

i'm watching 'summer of love' now and it's not worthwhile either.

what are some real science fiction eps?

i might look at 'weaker sex' later.

For mor Sci-Fi type eps try Last Days or Gillian of the Spirits

I just found this on Amazon; seems familiar:

"Bobby finds the holy grail he so desperately seeks: proof that infinite parallel worlds exist in other dimensions - and the means to reach them. Rescuing his lost love from a world where destiny has not doomed her is all that matters to Bobby Godric - until he encounters a monstrous alien race systematically annihilating humankind and claiming planet Earth, again and again, on a murderous march of conquest across the dimensions!"

ok, thanks.

i'll try and check them out.

If you're watching early Sliders for the sci-fi, you'll be disappointed. The main focus of the series at the beginning was to show alternate histories and differing social norms. It was great.

If you want sci-fi, watch season 4, it's actually not as bad as many fans say. Only problem is half the original cast is gone, though Kari Wuhrer and Charlie O'Connell aren't too bad as replacements.

The first half of season four is definitely better than the last half of season three!

Those were always the show's best episodes.
