Okay, this is part two of the seventh season. What's your favorite episode out of those six?

This poll is open for two days. (Well, it's supposed to be. ;))

Tough to pick one. Even though the second half has it's faults, I went with What You Leave Behind. The final shot is perfect.

Damn these were all GREAT episodes. but I had to pick The Siege of AR-558. It put faces to the troops that were fighting on the front lines. It showed us what life is like on the battle field.

Ar-558

While I have no doubt that WYLB will win the poll, I loved WYLB for it's realistic day to day showing of what the war meant. They are not just names on a list, we do need to remember that.

For me it's The Changing Face of Evil, which clearly stood out in my memory as the highlight of the closing arc.

I really enjoyed It's Only a Paper Moon, but I had to cast my vote for Tacking into the Wind. As I mentioned, in the earlier thread, I was simply Wowed by this episode. It had so many wonderful things happen during the hour. I think it is easily one of RDM's best episodes.

FEMALE SHAPE-SHIFTER: I see the upgraded plasma rifles have been distributed.
(to Jem' Hadar) Let me inspect it.
An excellent weapon...
(to Garak) What do you think?

KIRA: This is Luaran.
(beat) No, I can't see you either.
We're experiencing difficulties with our com system. What do you want?
(listens) Just a moment.
...
(activates headset) The data is on its way.
(listens) Excellent. We'll be repairing the com system for at least the next hour.
I'll contact you when we're finished.
Luaran out.

GOWRON: (difficult) You will... not... have this... death...

All episodes mentioned are really, really great. But ultimately I chose The Siege of AR-558, because it just plain devastating. The best and most effective anti-war commentary in the whole Trek canon, IMO.

Well said.

To this day, AR-558 stands as one of the main reasons I adore DS9.
