It does seem incredible, doesn't it? And yet it happened, and it was just as ugly as PKTrekGirl described. As great as these shows are, they are TV shows, not matters of life and death...and yet there were people so determined to see their show / episode / character / whatever "win" some silly internet poll that they deliberately acted in ways that caused all sorts of nastiness on this board. I can't for the life of me work out why some people get upset about complete strangers on the internet not sharing their opinions of a TV show, but it certainly happens.Smiley said:

I'm not saying that sort of thing will inevitably happen again, but the fallout was so unpleasant that I fully understand why those who were around at the time are kinda gun-shy about this idea - even though this thing should be nothing more than innocuous fun. Fun on an internet BBS. Imagine that.
