Best Enterprise model I ever owned! And I've owned a few.

My cheap camera limitations aside, this is simply THE most accurate model of the girl I've ever owned. It's more accurate than the Diamond Select Enterprise toy (except it doesn't light up)! The nacelle attachment is a little tricky, but goes on solidly if done correctly (I recomment glue anyway even though it says "snap-together).
I'm sure there's a more accurate kit in existence, but not one that I could afford, I'll wager. This one is less than $25 (mine was $20 at a toy & model shop).

Wow, it looks like the model is selling out of stock at most sites!

I agree. Next to the rather expensive Master Replicas TOS E you can't do better than the Polar Lights kit.

^^

I bought six of 'em and yet never had the chance to build one because of where I was living. My new living accommodations as of a month ago will now allow me to build and display models so now I can start on a pile of models I've been collecting yet never could build.

I bought more than one of the PL E's because I wanted to build a Pike era E, a Kirk era E and some other kit bashes like a destroyer class.

Are you gonna make one that lights up? I'm very tempted myself, but I go to school & have a job & family, so, not lots of free time...

This is a great model, but I gotta say... there are tons of them at my local Toys R Us... they're not that hard to find, if you know where to look. :)

The Hook class conversion is up, and the Destroyat, Giodano Bruno, Loknar, Larson, and Pioneer classes at Starship Modeller.

Federation Models has Saladin/Hermes, Federation, Ptolemy with pod (all from PNT), Suyra (from Alliance), Decatur (from Gizmotron) .

So, there it is. Good hunting. An awful lot to choose from out there.

Thanks, Vance! Way back when, when I had the larger TOS kit, I sent for the McDaniels Surya kit, and never got anything. So I want to try with a more reputable source, for the smaller new kit.
