It's been so long since I watched Ent that I can't realy remember the characters that well, I always liked Reed though.
I've noticed that there seems to be no love for Travis Mayweather. I wonder why, boring character? poor actor? bad writers?

Travis was completely underwritten. There were episodes where, seriously, it could've been a replacement piloting the ship (e. g. for second or night shift) and no one would've really noticed. A pity, as he was kinda sold in the pilot (no pun intended) as being experienced in space. So why the hell didn't Archer, at least on some occasions, ask his opinion about things?
Nothing to grab onto to like. he might as well have been a console on the bridge, for all the writers gave him to work with. Heck, Porthos got more character development.
I disagree on Mirrir Trip. I thought that was the worst of the mirror cast while regular Trip was one of my favorite characters.
Since you are including minor characters I would include V'Lar, the Vulcan ambassador in Fallen Hero played by Fiannula Flanagan. I loved the part, I loved how she played it, and it was another episode that showed not all Vulcans are the same.

Oh, I agree! A wonderful actress and a wonderful character! I wish we had seen more of her. I would have been interesting seeing her interact with T'Pol some more.
I agree with you. I actually think T'Pol's presence kind of undercut Travis's usefulness. With the Vulcan star charts and T'Pol's knowledge of various alien species, that left Travis with next to nothing to offer.
But didn't we all just love that sweet spot story?
He certainly could have brought some human perspective to any of T'Pol's and by extension Vulcan opinion of other species by virtue of his folks experience in deep space. It was a very sadly underutilized aspect of the character.
