Best dream you ever had?

I used to have 'floating' dreams (like I'd be walking along and found myself an inch or so off the ground) but never overt flying. I would classify that as nightmares.

My flying dreams are always like Superman. I just leap into the air and I am off. And I have those all the time.

I have also been "beamed" some place else too. I imagine that when the transporter takes hold the process is very cold and tingly, like your foot gets when it goes to sleep on you. Sometimes my subconscious will use this as a segue into a new dream.

As for my favorite dream, I have this reoccurring one where I am living in this castle on a cliff over-looking the sea. It usually starts at sunset and I am standing on one of the towers looking out over the ocean at the sun setting. It is all red, purple and gorgeous. I can hear the waves pounding below and feel the wind in my face. Then someone touches my arm and I see it is a tall dark man with a beard. He tells me that he brings word ahead that my husband is returning (I am a woman in this dream). I then rush down the tiny winding staircase, for what seems like forever, and then make my way into a great hall. In the middle is a great roaring fire and people are busy rushing about preparing supper for the master of the keep's return. I then see the great oak doors open and there he stands outside in the darkening courtyard. I have never actually seen this man in real life but I know immediately who he is. I then rush to him and he picks me up and kisses me under the just woken stars. In his arms I feel the most intense moment of love, warmth, safety and contentment I have every felt, waking or otherwise. After he sits me down again on the ground, I point to the huge rising moon and tell him that she told me that he would be home today. I then stare into his face while his blue eyes sparkle in the soft white light. Sometimes the dream will continue on and we go inside and eat while other times it ends there in the courtyard.

I think the thing that I find so amazing is how vivid it is. I can feel the stones in the wall as I race down the stairs. I can feel the heat from the fire and the cold floor under my feet. I can also recall my husband's itchy beard rubbing against my chin and cheeks when he kisses me. I even remember the smells and the voices of the people about. The entire thing is very startling to me when I wake up. It is almost like I was briefly living someone else's life and existing in another body.

(Someone once told me that this dream may not be a dream at all but a memory from a past life. I have no idea what to think about that.)

My flying dreams are really pathetic! I've had the same one multiple times: I jump off a couch and start flapping my arms and legs to get a few millimeters off the floor. It takes all my dream energy to stay up, but I normally do scrape the ground a bit.

I always have dreams that I can jump and fly over things for a little bit longer than normal.

I have had two threesome dreams. Those were awesome.

Another reoccuring dream I have is making love with Allison Mack...I don't know why she doesn't appeal to me...but she is fantastic in bed.

Not sure where to start with this so I'll try and do some bullet points and just list ones I can significantly remember:

  • When I was a very young boy I had the usual obsession with Star Wars and I missed out on a hard cover Star Wars Annual (must have been about 1982) and was really upset as I had the collectors urge even back then. I later had a dream where I had it and was ecstatic.....and gutted when I woke up
  • I've had alot of flying freams but not for a few years now. Although they started with the whole 1 foot off the ground thing (I used to have to sit cross legged and waddle my feet to fly) they progressed into fully fledge Superman flying and my god it was exhilliarating. In some later dreams I got to do the whole Spider-Man thing and web-sling from point to point, extremely fucking cool..again SO gutted when I awoke.
  • I've had quite a few video game leftover dreams after I've had a few hour session on something like Call of Duty or Star Wars and the game continues in my dream. Have to admit its lots of fun being a Jedi Knight and lightsabering people to bits :)
  • Finally, and this isnt the best, just the most affecting; for a long time I used to dream about a woman/girl. She had dark hair and I couldnt see her face, but being with made me feel like i was completely and utterly loved. there was a warm spreading feeling within me that resulted in total relaxation and calm. Quite upsetting to wake from that state and be single (at the time) and to instantly lose all that warmth and security. it was so vivid at the time that it almost felt like a bereavement.

Had another flying dream last night, only this time I was flying in a sitting position with my legs straight out in front of me, toes pointed and all. :vulcan:

It was only one aspect of a very convoluted, plot-driven, bizarre night of dreaming. I have a very weird brain.

My flying dreams are weird because I'm almost always doing the backstroke in them, except a few feet off the ground.

I don't know what my best dream was, but the most powerful dream was the one I had when I was 19 where I lived 8 months in an alternate life in which I got engaged to, and eventually broke up with, some woman I had met. I woke up unsure of what reality was because I couldn't believe that all that time had passed in a few hours. Turns out it had.

Scariest dream I ever had was a few months ago when I found myself in a recurring loop of waking up; I "woke up" to continually realise I was still asleep at which point I would wake up in the same position, like in a bad movie. The time it took me to "wake up" each time got shorter so it started out being a few minutes, then I'd "wake up" every few seconds, and by the time it got to every few milliseconds it got very disturbing. It was like the effect from this video, only it was happening to reality itself. When I finally woke up for real I feared for a few minutes that I was still trapped in the dream. That's the sort of dream which leads to madness. :scream:

Just last night I had a dream I met Russell T. Davies. Nice guy. Didn't seem fond of the Matt Smith choice, though.

I dreamt once that I've met David Tennant. He walked past me on the street and said something like: "You don't get ... an autograph".
At least I understood it that way. And I thought: "Man, how selfcentered can one be?" So I followed him and started to rant. Turned out that I misunderstood him and he actually meant: "You don't get ... the whole picture" - in a metaphoric way.

It was a really strange dream.
But what was even stranger was what happened the next day: I lost my job in real life. Since I didn't really like it anyway, I decided to take my sudden unemployment as a chance to focus on something that I really wanted to do. Hence I finally got the whole picture ;). So the dream probably turned the scale and helped me to really go for it.

Other than that my best dreams involve floating in the ocean in blue and clear water.

I had one of those. I'd "wake up," only to have something just too wierd to be real happen or be asked of me, only to wake up something else equally as wierd

another reccuring nightmare I've had sometimes is the cows on the ranch getting out cause I left a gate open and they've stormed it.

Best dream I can remember is a recent one -- I'm with a group of people who are frightened by a black panther roaming the neighborhood. Suddenly the panther is chasing us and he tackles me. But instead of killing me, he starts licking me like some exuberant dog.

I don't attach any deep meaning to this, I happen to have a large black cat who likes to lick my fingers.
