Since I started a thread about Trek covers, I decided to make another about what you think the best covers are/were?
And though they are not my absolute favorites, the artistic, pre-Photoshop skill involved in the creation of the covers from the 80s and early 90s should not be discounted.
I'm a big fan of Keith Birdsong's covers from the '90's. The four Invasion! covers were particular stand-outs.
Shame the books weren't nearly as interesting as the covers. I think I only managed to finish the TOS title, back in the day. But I might get back around to reading them some day.
Some good covers:
Collision Course
Planet X
The Sky's the Limit (Stephan Martinere is a genius)
Death in Winter
Forged in Fire
A Burning House.
I forgot about A Burning House. I haven't read it yet, so I don't know how well it represents the book, but it does look amazing. There are a lot of good covers to choose from. The one I keep coming back to as a great cover is Rising Son I don't know why but that is a good cover IMO. Some others are the Vanguard covers, A Burning House, and Never Ending Sacrifice.
