Bendii Syndrome?

Just because his Father had it doesn't equate to Spock having it too, those kinds of things can skip generations, correct?

I hope that is the case for him. Seeing one Vulcan succumb to it was enough.

If he does have it then I would think his experience with emotions would give him an edge against it's effects, essentially making it a non issue.

That is kind of what I was thinking, too. Sarek was 100% Vulcan, but Spock is only 50%, so I believe that (a) the disease would have a lesser, more subdued effect on him or, (b) he would essentially be immune to it. Besides, if the powers that be are ever going to "kill off" Spock, I am sure they would do it in a different manner rather than having him pass the way that his father did.
