The show is set about 20 years from now in a world where humans and artificial intelligence objects such as cars and answering machines live at peace with one another.

The Web-based series will also star Juliet Landau, who played Drusilla in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel.

!!!

Naught For Hire is getting ready to start filming soon. Paramount is the studio involved and apparently they want to use "social media" to judge how iterested people are i this project. They are measuring "Likes" for the show and the lead,Ben Browder. I think the sfx will be quality and the time thing suits alot of people. I like Riese and like Sanctuary as a webseries. So if you are a fan Ben Browder, author John Stithe,Chase Masterson or Juliet Landau go yo Facebook and "Like" Naught For Hire!

I went to the Naught for Hire website to view the webseries (or at least the first few minutes of the first episode), but where is it? (If you need to click on the gun, I think maybe I shouldn't be using Safari on the PC because it doesn't do anything. :D)

I can't very well like a series I haven't seen yet. I do like Browder, but I'm not big on the private-eye genre.

I don't think they have any episodes yet. The facebook page says they're looking at a 2012 release. It's sad to see sci-fi actors struggling to find good gigs after their shows end. They just seem forever stuck in the baby pool of Syfy/Lifetime TV movies, webseries, conventions or projects by their former colleagues. Is it just a matter of some actors/agents being more well connected? Do they not get all the memos?

Not exactly excited about this one but it looks like it could be amusing and good for a few grins. Quirky, talking technology might really get old and annoying fast so maybe it's good the episodes are short. I think Joe Flanigan might be even better suited for this role though.

There always seems to be roles available for pretty, young, no-talents. Young being the operative word. Browder is past the age where it's easy to get gigs. It's worse for actresses. What the heck happened to Claudia Black, anyway?

Just look at the amazing David Straitharn, slumming in Alphas, surrounded by a cast I'm sure he'll run rings around. I'm not sure if I even want to look at that show, but I suppose I must...

Yeah, such a shame. She's doing something she enjoys, is getting paid out the ass for it, and is still in the movie business regardless (she was the voice of Angelique in Rango, for instance).

Stupid Hollywood.

If only she could get cut from lame television shows about cheerleaders or involved in webisodes that won't go anywhere. If only...

Whatever happened to the idea of Farscape webisodes?

The financing fell out when the financial crisis happened. No word on them since. :(

At least we have the graphic novels, which have been fun thus far (much more fun than what has become of Firefly in the same form, IMO).

I see the title of this thread and I think that Farscape web series that was promised 3 years ago would be a go. I guess not. :(

Everyone in Farscape (Browder and Black especially) need to get onto a new series somehow. Maybe not together, but to have these actors fade off into the limelight now is awful.

The farscape webseries was almost a go last November then at the last miute the people with the money backed out(actually they just said Farscape project---Henson really wated to do a feature)
