Look for the unexpected links: the horrible episode "The Way To Eden" is greatly improved by the horrible movie "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" and vice versa, for example.

Jammer has a pretty good guide to TOS, and other Trek and non-Trek series. Anything three stars and up is a safe bet, with the exception that you should also see Balance of Terror, The Changeling, Assignment: Earth, and Is there In Truth No Beauty? which are scored too low.

I'd recommend Arena, The Gamesters of Triskelion, Spock's Brain and Let That Be Your Last Battlefield despite the deserved low-scores because they represent TOS at its campy best/worst. Bread and Circuses and The Savage Curtain might also make the cut for camp value.

For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky is fun for weirdness value and the episode title. Wink of an Eye is imaginative, which bumps the score up half a star.
