I have no answer on the lifespan thing, but wouldn't Andrew actually be ¾ human and only ¼ Ocampan?
Linnis had the same rapid maturity of Ocampans, but she could live a little longer, thanks to her human biology.
As for Andrew, there's just no tellin', sure, he was more human than Ocampan, but come on, Harry was his dad, and that dude died all the time.
Yeah, but it wasn't genetically hard-wired into him. It's just that Harry Kim is the universe's Chew Toy.
And, yeah, there is something not-right about Harry Kim marrying Kes's daughter and becoming Tom's son-in-law.
I think for Andrew that it's not the life span you should be worried about but the eidetic memory... You saw how difficult it was for him to "make" that present for his gran? Kes could have read all the Manuals in the library Computer, instiunderstood it all, stripped a shuttle and put it back together again in the same time... What was this anway? A paper mache pineapple? Point is, if he had a humanish brain and an Ocampanish life cycle, the kid just didn't have time to dick around with a "lengthy" childhood that one day he still may think like a boy when he seems to be an old man.

Her mind was swiss cheese. She knew bugger all about anything, but her mind was clearing the further in time she went backward. However, that might mean that her mind started reswischeesing on her trip back through time from her origin point as a fetus.

Lets face it, Lynnis went from cradle to CMO in the same time it took Kim to stay exactly the same. Not exactly dynamic or adaptive? You can certainly tell who wears the ballgag in that family.
