Bed, Bath & Beyond is the latest store chain to go bye bye

I walked pass a store at the mall that sells nothing but socks. Socks! Considering how expensive it is to rent out space at a mall, do socks fly off the shelf that fast?
Sounds more like a flea market type niche. Must be some damned expensive socks.

My guess would be "Pier 1". Does anyone shop there?

They already went under. Filed Chapter 11 in February 2020 and then COVID hit. Remaining stores closed that October. There's still a website, but someone else owns the brand now.

Woke up this morning to the news Jenny Craig is set to declare bankruptcy, shut its doors and move to an e-commerce format.

So what's next to go? The Container Store or Crate & Barrel?

My guess would be Sears. They've been hanging by a thread for a while now. Surprised they still have stores open. Wikipedia says there are still 17 stores open in the U.S as of February. And yeah, I realize they've already filed, but I'm surprised it's taken this long given the trouble they've had. They all disappeared in Canada several years ago.
