Be Forever Yamato REBEL 3199

Still hoping for Crunchroll to do a dub of 2205, tried the subtitled version and really struggled
I hope so too. I don't mind the subtitled version at all, but they did a good job with 2199 and 2202.

The above said if it hasn't happened by now, it probably won't.

One week until the next chapter is released in Japan...
(And if the pattern holds - 4 to 6 days later the English subtitled versions of these 4 new episodes will be available to stream on Crunchyroll)... :

Did anyone else think while watching that clip that the submarine commander (whose name I forget) was going to die?
I have a feeling that there's going to be a major death soon.

They did release something akin to a "previously on Rebel 3199" video just before they released the Preview of the first five minutes of Chapter 5. I'm sure someone translated the voice over someplace.

Thanks, I'll look for the equivalent when the new episodes come out.

The big problem is that these releases aren't actually movies, but individual episodes stitched together, and a LOT of things happen in each one. Like, a lot! There was no need to remember every single detail of "A New Hope" when going to the theater to see "The Empire Strikes Back" (also because not much had happened plot-wise). But here, it's so densely packed with plot that I'm always left vaguely confused. "What was the important mission this character was supposed to be on?"

Agreed. These episodes might actually benefit from being somewhat extended, maybe by 5 or 10 minutes, to allow time for narrative to be slightly better fleshed out and explained. 2199 had the best pacing for the short running times, IMO. Ever since the White Comet season, things have definitely felt rushed and/or glossed over.
