BBC Upcoming Drama

Merlin? MI-5! I'm still waiting on the last two seasons of 'Spooks'. There's actually a lot of older Brit shows that I'd like to get on DVD or at least rent. I never finished the Inspector Lynley shows, Bramwell looks neat, One Foot in the Grave, Black Books. I can't get into Rosemary and Thyme, but I love the Vicar of Dibley and Ab Fab.

These are all new programmes, no returning ones on the list.

The sinking of the Laconia looks interesting, as do Outcasts and the Deep.

One can only hope Gattiss' First Men in the Moon is better than Victory of the Daleks.

I'll give Sherlock a chance, but not overly keen on the notion of bringing it into the 21st Century--then again it is Moffat and he did the same sort of thing very well with Jekyll so we shall have to see.

I might give Lip Service a go as well ;)

I do love a BBC 4 drama but must say I am surprise to see the BBC doing a drama about Coronation street.
you were expecting ITV to make a darma about one of its own shows? What kind of crazy world are you living it?

ITV has The Extra Factor, and the 11th weekly episode of Emmerdale to air, the schedule is full.
I read a press released once that said ITV was committed to drama.
They must have meant the drama that goes along with those judges shows.

also think about it, this is basically an act of charity the BBC is doing for ITV, the BBC can hold this over ITV for years, anytime ITV bitches about the licence fee, or the fact the BBC dared to air something good whilst ITV was showing one of its highly rated yet rubbish talent shows.

The BBC funding & commissioning this, makes ITV look really bad.

ITV already make a drama about Coronation Street, it's called Coronation Street... you can't expect them to celebrate the fact it's been on the air for 50 years, they're too busy making it.

Eastenders managed to both celebrate its 25 year, and film the series.

Its not like many of the current cast would feature in Florizel Street

What you betting the BBC drama is better than the ITV 50th episode:lol:

im still undecided if I am going to watch Florizel Street yet, but I would sooner watch it than Corrie itself.

I watch most of the BBC 4 drama's on a Sunday when I have nothing to do on the I player.
BBC4 is one of those channels I can't get if the wind is blowing is the wrong direction.

 digital switchover working well for you then?

My g'f has the same problem with her freeview signal (only it's channel 5/4/ITV that she has probelms with)

My understanding is that once analogue is turned off for good, then didgital signal strength will be improved. Not sure how true that is but I hope it is or a lot of channels are potentially going to start losing a lot more advertising revenue!

that is the theory ive heard as well, ill wait & see what happens.

That said I have all 6 Muxs, which are all stable, so I guess im quite lucky.

The signal is a lot better than what it used to be but the trouble is a week after I had a new aerial we had a little earthquake that knocked part of the chimney down.:klingon:
The builder but my aerial back up when he patched the chimney up but its a bit bent.
