BBC Sets Cast For ‘Killing Eve’ Prequel ‘Honey’

I thought the first series of Eve was one of the best shows I’d seen in ages but the quality just plunged in subsequent seasons, despite the fantastic cast, and we gave up partly into S3.

Yeah and season 4 wasn't great. I think there's a few reasons, firstly its one of those shows that perhaps doesn't lend itself to multiple seasons?

More importantly is probably the quality of the writing. It's no coincidence the best season was the one that had Phoebe Waller-Bridge as showrunner and she wrote half the episodes.

Similarly the second season, which I remember liking a lot (if not as much as S1), they replaced Waller-Bridge with Emerald Fennell who wrote/co-wrote most of the episodes.

Beyond this it gets increasingly ropey.

Have to say though I liked Ann Skelly a lot in Sandman and the general theme of the show appeals.
