I usually buy whatever brand works out to be the best value for what I need, either in rechargeables or disposables. Usually that seems to be Duracell rechargables and Rayovac disposables.

I buy all my batteries in the local battery shop and the guy that has the shop swears by GP (Golden Peak - they're out of Hong Kong)

The only prob lem I've ever had was when I bought some that had a bigger capacity than my charger could handle -but of course they took them back and sold me ones I could use.
