Batman Will Be Rebooted

That's right. After The Dark Knight Rises, there are already plans for Christopher Nolan to stay on as a producer and let someone else have a crack at Batman. I agree with article though... we don't need another origin story.

To the Bat-link!

Third movie isn't even out yet let alone production, so it's still way too soon. If this attempt is to work towards a JL movie. Maybe they'll give Armie Hammer another crack at Bruce/Batman.

But yeah way too soon.

Hollywood stop rebooting everything right away FFS.

I don't think there was any question whatsoever that Batman was going to be milked for perpetuity in the wake of Nolan making Warner Bros. a hojillion bucks with his movies. Further films after his trilogy were inevitable.

I'd rather have both but hope they at least take their time with JL.

Id say finish off this "prequel" trilogy of Batman coming up in the ranks. Regroup for a bit and give the other DC characters a shot. Then comeback to do a already established Batman, movie in working towards a JLA movie ala Avengers.

I think 2013 is wishful thinking and seems a bit rushed. Strike while the irons hot I guess but still.

I wonder what other passion projects Nolans got in store.

The Prestige VS The Insomniac!

I don't think there was any doubt that the Nolan/Bale-era Batman film series was going to be rebooted, it was merely a question of either after three movies or four, IMO...

As long as we get the closure I highly suspect we will be getting in The Dark Knight Rises, I couldn't give two shits about what WB will do with Batman after this. I'm so utterly thrilled with what Nolan has done with Batman and this trilogy will be treasured for years to come.

Besides, as others have said, Batman movies will always be made. He, along with Superman and Spider-Man, is too damn popular amongst the general public for Hollywood not to keep making movies about him.

I think its time for the term "rebooted" to be retired. Nothing is happening to Nolan's films or the universe shown in his films. Someone else will simply be telling their version of Batman because he is finished. Which has happened many times before.

Is this any more a reboot than his films where one of the Burton/Schumacher films? Those early films had simply ran their course and later did his own thing.

But if they're trying to do a 2013 Justice League movie... Would that Batman spin out into his own Bat-movies, or would this proposed reinvention be another kettle of fish altogether? And might Arnie Hammer still do the role? A curious world demands answers!

The movies started in the 80s and went in the 90s was a reboot to the 60s one. The new trilogy was a reboot to the 90s version.

Reboot just means it's not going to be follow the same storyline.
