The tenth and final round will be about the franchise films yet to be released: The Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, and Star Trek 2.

Which one are you looking forward to the most?

The winners of the previous rounds:

1. Goldeneye
2. Star Trek: First Contact
3. The World Is Not Enough
4. Star Trek: Nemesis
5. Batman Begins
6. The Dark Knight
7. The Dark Knight
8. Batman (1966)
9. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Because there isn't another round after this, I'll set a time limit to the poll for one week from today.

The Dark Knight Rises. I like Bond movies but I rarely am eager for them to come out to the point where i'm obsessed about it like with TDKR. Trek 2 isn't out til next year so I'm not anticipating it that much yet.

1. Star Trek (2013)

2. Skyfall

3. The Dark Knight Rises

(Though, let's be honest -- I'm looking forward to all of these).

I'm looking the most forward to Star Trek 2. I want to see how they handle a non-origin story with the crew being established that advances the status quo. There was the illusion of advancement Star Trek II-IV (I use regular numbering for New Trek and roman numerals for Old) but, as much as I enjoyed those movies, all the development turned out to be almost a complete circle. I'm expecting smarter twists that don't have to be reversed in the next installment in order for the series to continue; unlike the death of Spock and destruction of the Enterprise.

I'm more curious about Skyfall than anything else. I thought Quantum of Solace was a step down from Casino Royale but Skyfall should shake things up again.

With The Dark Knight Rises, it seems like a lot will be skipped over in order to get to the point where "this is a story with an end." To be fair, I don't know what the endpoint is and I'm looking forward to seeing something that might somewhat resemble Knightfall. I say somewhat because there was so much to that story, it would have to be heavily modified.

I'm not that excited about The Dark Knight Rises...but then I felt the same before the last one (which I thought was great) for some reason they just don't grab me beforehand...I want to see it, I just can't get excited for some reason, even though I know it'll be fab.

Weird I know.

Whereas I can't wait for Trek and Bond

The results from this competition haven't been that different from what's reflected in IMDB ratings:

8.9 -- The Dark Knight
8.3 -- Batman Begins
8.1 -- Star Trek (2009)
7.9 -- Casino Royale
7.8 -- Goldfinger
7.7 -- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
7.6 -- Batman (1989)
7.5 -- Star Trek: First Contact
7.4 -- Master and Commander
7.1 -- Goldeneye
6.9 -- Batman Returns
6.8 -- Quantum of Solace
6.5 -- Star Trek: Generations
6.4 -- Tomorrow Never Dies
6.3 -- The World Is Not Enough
6.3 -- Star Trek: Insurrection
6.3 -- Star Trek: Nemesis
6.3 -- Batman (1966)
6.1 -- Moonraker
6.0 -- Die Another Day
5.4 -- Batman Forever
5.1 -- Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
3.6 -- Batman & Robin

The only real difference in what the winner would be is in first, ninth, and possibly third round. If we went by the IMDB, this is how the competition would've turned out:

Round 1... Batman (1989)
Round 2... Star Trek: First Contact
Round 3... The World Is Not Enough / Star Trek: Insurrection
Round 4... Star Trek: Nemesis
Round 5... Batman Begins
Round 6... The Dark Knight
Round 7... The Dark Knight
Round 8... Batman (1966)
Round 9... The Dark Knight
