Goldeneye was the winner of the last thread in this competition between the Burton/Schumacher Batman, Pierce Brosnan Bond, and TNG Star Trek movies.

There's stiffer competition this time around in my opinion.

Star Trek: First Contact gets my vote, although I'm quite fond of Tomorrow Never Dies. It has the best action (and the best score) of any of the Brosnan movies.

First Contact. TND is probably my least favourite of the Brosnan Bonds, though I still like it. I enjoyed Batman Returns when it came out but it has not aged well.

First Contact but it is tougher this time round as I really like all three and there isn't a lot in it.

First Contact easily. Like I said before I don't really like the Tim Burton Batman films. Tomorrow Never Dies was okay.

A little harder this time around.

Tomorrow Never Dies is easily number three. Goldeneye was Brosnan's only truly good Bond film.

However, it's really too close to call between Batman Returns and First Contact. Both are excellent films. So, I had to flip a coin....

Batman Returns wins.

First Contact wins this round for me. Though I'm one of the few that actually like Batman Returns and Tomorrow Never Dies.

It occurs to me that round four will be Nemesis, Die Another Day, and Batman and Robin. Will there be a none of the above option?

I voted First Contact.

I'm going to have fun with that one. That round will be a little bit different. :D

I'll even throw in a fifth round where the winners from the first four compete with each other.

I've decided I'm going to extend this to seven rounds, and we'll stretch outside the '90s. After Round 4, it'll be...

5. The Reboot Round: Batman Begins, Casino Royale, and Star Trek (2009)

6. The Camp Round: Batman (1966), The Man With the Golden Gun, and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

7. The Classics Round: Goldfinger, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and The Dark Knight
