A couple of things:
I didn't particularly like Eisenberg's (or whomever's) choice for Lex. I expected a Lex like Eisenberg gave us in "The Social Network" rather than someone with obvious problems. That puts me about neutral for Eisenberg's portrayal. I strongly disliked Kevin Spacy's portrayal. I disliked Gene Hackman's portrayal. I liked Micheal Rosenbaum's portrayal.
I didn't particularly like the overall score of the movie. I liked the individual themes but the whole thing didn't mesh very well.
Other than that, I liked the movie very much. I haven't watched it again, but I think it has immense rewatchability. It didn't feel long. I will be getting the extended edition if there is one.
I had kept myself relatively spoiler free, however I knew from the previews that long haired Lex was creating a Kryptonian based monster to fight Superman, so I knew they might go the route of "Death of Superman". When Lex called him Superman's "doomsday" I knew what was going to happen.
I loved Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. I think Ben Affleck is by far and away the best Batman. I think he is the best Bruce Wayne too, but it is a closer race.
I enjoyed Man of Steel too and like Henry Cavill as Superman. I liked him in this movie too.

To me, the Suicide Squad trailers make it look like there's already enough of a fun factor.

Kor

Yeah unless the trailers are just being incredibly deceptive, the Suicide Squad movie looks like it's going to have plenty more fun moments than just the ones we've already seen. And I seriously doubt that's the reason they're doing the reshoots.
The article on BirthMoviesDeath said that those were literally the only jokes in the movie. I don't go there often, but I thought they were one site that was usually pretty trusworth when it came to this kind of stuff.
I remember the Green Hornet incident, and thought he--"Mr. All Things Comics"-- was a coward for backing away when he had a wealth of support that would have helped his shape TGH and support whatever he wanted to do with it. As a result, the property eventually fell into the hands of Seth Rogen (of all people), which turned TGH into a bad, horribly miscast joke for a generation. The damage might be permanent.
Personally, I respect him for recognizing his limitations and not doing something he knew wouldn't work. But I'm one of the few people who enjoyed the Green Hornet movie, so I might be more forgiving since I was still happy with the end result.

I have to admit, as hugely disappointed as I was in BvS, I do find myself strangely tempted to see it again this weekend. Just to see if things might click a bit better for me somehow...

I kind of want to see it in theaters again too. But money's tight for me right now. I'll just wait for the extended cut.

Same. I may go to a cheap matinee show next week, I went to see it this past week in a dine-in theater (the higher-end one with recliner-like seats) and in 3D. I usually do the dine-in theaters simply for the more comfortable and spacious seating (also assigned seating); though I don't usually do the higher-end version; I was either way on 3D. I only did this because it was the time that worked for me. I'll probably see it again next week at a regular, cheap, matinee showing. I may have some rewards points on my card that'll get me a free ticket too.

I want to see how it hold up on repeat viewings or if seeing it a second time it'll click differently.

I just really, really, don't like how they're doing Superman. He's too glum and uninspiring and doesn't really seem to be trying to do much to motivate people to be good and I really, really, could have done without the (biblical) savior/Jesus imagery. As I've said, I get Batman being glum and grim but not Superman. And these Snyder movies haven't done Superman right for me, though I think Man of Steel was a bit closer as there were some good "Superman moments" in it, but it still didn't feel quite there especially during the big battles.

It's easier to spend money than time, the older you get, and the more money you have.

Waiting ten years for a new show to play out ten seasons one episode at a time, and months between seasons, or rush through a full series in a couple weeks, then rinse and repeat.

Hands up if you'd be amazed to still be alive in 2026?

Bale doesn't look at all like how I'd imagine Bruce Wayne.

Affleck is by far the best physical representation of the character on-screen, IMO. And he completely nailed the performance, too, even if I don't like a couple of things that happened (which are more the fault of the director, really).

Looks like the movie is gonna have an awful drop off second weekend.

Hopefully the critical reception and box office drop off gets them to try salvage these movies starting with ridding themselves of Snyder.

A massive second weekend drop-off is never a good thing. Ang Lee's Hulk was considered a big hit for its first weekend.
