Just because some things suck in other movies, doesn't mean it's OK for more things to suck in newer movies.

It just shows they hypocrisy and bias of fanboys, that's all. Because they breezily overlook it when it suits them, but go on a crusade about that same thing when it doesn't.

I liked the fact that they were both fooled by Lex throughout the movie and didn't even realize that it was him pulling the strings--it shows that he's an intellectual match for Batman.

Plus he seems smarter than the usual Luthor in that he figured out who both Batman and Superman really are.

The music can be made to fit, just like all the seventies rock in "A Knight's Tale." There was no classic rock in the middle ages.

That film is very deliberately anachronistic, though.

Having said that, I did like the WW electric guitar theme!

Technically, even an orchestral score wouldn't be period-accurate for "A Knight's Tale," since orchestral music in today's form with today's exact instrumentation didn't exist in that era.

Warner's is reported to be doing reshoots to up the fun factor in Suicide Squad. If that is the result of BvS, that it causes the rest of the movies to lighten up some, I'm ok with that.

Meh, if it's true - and birthmoviesdeath is particularity butthurt over BvsS, rivalling even @Christopher - that's too bad.

To me that would be the one movie you need to be on the dark side of things.

As I've mentioned in the Suicide Squad thread, this is not a reaction to BvS.
Reshoots are planned well in advance, you can't just come up with a few jokes and have the sets, cast and crew immediately available the next day for shooting.

To me that would be the one movie you need to be on the dark side of things.

On the other hand I find I perfer the comic book bad guys (or really just the bad guys in general) that enjoy what they do for a living. And these guys strike as crazy enough to do just that.

Yeah unless the trailers are just being incredibly deceptive, the Suicide Squad movie looks like it's going to have plenty more fun moments than just the ones we've already seen. And I seriously doubt that's the reason they're doing the reshoots.

So, if you could change ONE thing about BVS, what would it be?
(I mostly liked the movie but had problems with it)
It's really hard to pick one thing but I would go with Batman not killing a bunch of people. Stands against everything he stands for.

Batman seems to kill people in all the good film incarnations so I don't get where people are coming from with that one.
Michael Keaton's batman kicked that guy off the tower & killed the Joker, Bale's batman let Liam Neeson & Harvey Dent die, and I'm sure some of the goons died from severe injury.

I would have given Lex or Wonder Woman mores scenes and additional length to the movie.

I've never liked the fact that Batman kills in the movies. It is kind of fundamental to all incarnations of his character that he doesn't kill. It actually would have been nice to see him in the rescue scene choosing not to kill at the end. The choosing not to brand Lex was a nice touch and that Batman scene at the end was one of the best Batman scenes I've seen on film.

"Much as I hate to take human life...I mounted this baby on the plane for a reason! YEEEEE-HAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!"

I'm still tossing up whether to see this or wait for the home video....

I'm not expecting greatness, but OTOH the last decade of supposedly "great" superhero movies have seemed pretty mediocre to me, so I don't imagine I'll be too disappointed.

The thing about Zack Snyder:
1. He needs a strong producer to reign him in and impose discipline; he generally doesn't get that.
2. Despite being attached to big projects, I'd say he is fundamentally not a mainstream director.
