Batman The Animated Series Soundtrack!

Wow! That's great news!

Very funny considering that is the same label that releases Bear McCreary's Battlestar Galactica and Terminator music, and considering he has mentioned he is a fan of Shirley Walker's work and used one of her scores as direct inspiration for a BSG ep.

Very pleasant surprise!

I would love to see them release Shirley Walker's scores from "The Flash" television series.

awesome! I just skimmed the titles but I wonder if there is a long version of TAS theme or would it just be the "Mask of the phantasm" version?

starts at 3:06

There is a longer version, that was used for the end credits and title sequence to when Batman - The Animated Series was called The Adventures Of Batman And Robin

I still remember that one
Both versions plus Mask Of The Phantasm operatic versions are good

Really? Which score of Walker's and which BSG episode? I've never thought McCreary's music sounded remotely like Walker's.

In season 3, the episode "Dirty Hands" had a bluesy "working man's theme" that was inspired by the score from the early BTAS episode "Forgotten." I watched the episode the other day, and the similarity is most apparent in the opening cue, right after the credits.

McCreary writes about it here in more detail.

I should re-watch that BSG episode

^ Yep you are right about Sarah Conner. It is also coming out on the 16th. Also I didn't know there was already another thread on the soundtrack release, must've missed that.
