Batman: Arkham Knight: Same Bat-Game, Same Bat-Developer!

Not watching any videos for this one, I want to have some novelty when I actually sit down to play this.

And if my young nephew and his friends are anything to go by that M-rating isn't going to prevent many from getting this.

Arkham Knight has been given an M rating (all three previous games were rated T).

Rocksteady's comments on this:

"From our point of view, we never wrote it or made it with a rating in mind. We never did that in the previous two games... We just felt that this is the story that we really wanted to tell."

...

"I'm not blind to the fact that [the M rating] does mean some fans will miss out... I don't want to be oblivious to that fact. It would have been wrong to water down the game and deliver a story we didn't believe in to keep the game 'mass market' or enable it for more people. We feel that's the wrong way to go about it. We said we love the story and we don't want to jepoardize that."
Good on them for sticking to their vision. :techman:

The biggest demographic for gamers are easily in their 20's and 30's if memory servers so M rating will not hurt them ;)

New trailer, titled "Gotham is Mine":

The displayed M rating at the beginning indicates that the game contains blood, language, suggestive themes and violence. No surprise there.

Every trailer I see just makes me want to play it more. Hurry up, June!

I'm also still a little bugged by the lack of Catwoman in any of these trailers. With the role she played in "Arkham City," you'd think she'd at least pop up somewhere in this game.

The bad news: The game has been delayed 3 more weeks, with a new release date of June 23.

The good news: another gameplay trailer, "Officer Down", has been released.

When Arkham City was slated to come out weeks beforehand I took a few days off work scheduled after the release date to play it - only to see the PC release slip away from the console release. Never again!

New trailer featuring all of Batman's allies!

I can't wait.

That is a really oddly cut trailer. The pacing is borderline-schizophrenic.

Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing.

One thing I will say, though. Every trailer they've released has revealed new things about the game, but I still know very little about what the story is actually about. I think they've done a great job revealing just enough information to keep me intrigued.

And...Catwoman! Ever since they debuted the first trailer, I've been wondering if she would be in the game. She played such a big role in the previous game that it seemed weird for her to be absent from this one, but so far there had been no indications that she would be around.

And not only are there 4 playable characters, but you can also "seamlessly switch between The Dark Knight and his allies including Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman in freeflow combat." :techman:

Oh boy, imagine a Perfect Freeflow 3.0 achievement/trophy, where you have to perform all combat moves with multiple characters in one freeflow instance. That should be fun.

There is a reason I have absolutely zero interest in Platinum trophies. :p

I'm now wondering how Rocksteady missed the opportunity for a "Purrfect Freeflow" achievement / trophy as Catwoman in Arkham City.

Forty goddamn bucks?

After how Godawful the Arkham City DLC was, there's no way I'm putting down forty bucks on top of a $60 game until we get some firm details about what's included.

I'll likely end up getting it after I play through the main game and realize that I NEED MORE BATMAN!

They just released more information about the Season Pass, since I guess fans weren't happy with the previous announcement.

I'll be honest. For me, this seems totally worth the extra money.
