Batman: Arkham 3

Ok, I didn't see this one coming: Arkham Origins will have Multiplayer. Well, except for the Wii U version.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed a new wrinkle to Batman: Arkham Origins, its prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, with the announcement of a 2 vs. 3 vs. 3 online multiplayer mode developed by Splash Damage (Brink, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars). Invisible Predator Online will pit Batman and Robin against two player-controlled teams of gun-toting henchmen, each consisting of three players, led by the competing Bat-villains Joker and Bane.

...

While Invisible Predator Online is set during the window of Batman: Arkham Origins’ fiction, it isn’t directly connected to it. Robin, for example, will not play a role in the main story, though he’s a prominent figure here, but playing the solo campaign will allow you to unlock as-yet-unspecified items in multiplayer mode.

Make no mistake, this is no after-thought multiplayer mode tacked onto a solo campaign. Invisible Predator Online is shaping up to be a full-fledged, tension-filled multiplayer experience that psychologically scarred whackjobs on either side of the law will appreciate.

I've never played anything even remotely like this before, but it sounds interesting.

I saw this earlier... Typically, I don't care much for multiplayer games, but this one is pretty interesting. It certainly makes me more interested in the title.

Well from the looks of it, this may be the best Arkham title to date. This trailer is from the recent Gamescom 2013 in Cologne, Germany...

Looks good, but I'll wait for the GOTY edition. I'm still waiting for Steam to patch out GFWL & Secure ROM so I can finally play the last game without having to worry about my save disappearing.

Haven't yet had time to play these games (seen bits and pieces of playthroughs though) but thought the rest of you would enjoy this:

Troy Baker is an awesome voice actor. This'll be the third GOTY candidate he's in this year that I know of. He was Booker in Bioshock Infinite, Joel in The Last of Us and now Joker in BAO.

Troy Baker is a pretty good voice actor ... I'm kind of disappointed that his take on the Joker is "Mark Hamill impression."

Plus Hamill did pretty much define the role over the last few decades. Hell, I'm almost certain the Heath Ledger was impersonating some of his inflections at times.

I know this isn't exactly on-topic, but this didn't seem worth opening a new thread or resurrecting an old one.
So yeah, the rumours were true, AA & AC have had both GFWL & SecureROM patched out of Steam and the codes for the non-Steam versions can now be activated on steamworks (though they haven't worked out all the kinks yet!)

17 minute gameplay video:

Also, the free mobile game is now available for iOS and Android.

I'm lovin' it. Despite being made by another company, it looks like the gameplay is perfectly in line with its predecessors. I'm wondering if we will visit any of the same locations throughout Gotham that we saw in Arkham City.

Did they ever say why Conroy wasn't hired on for this one? It's not a bad impersonation, but in a way that makes the difference all the more noticeable. :/

From the sounds of it, we are.
