Bad news for V remake

The Big Bang Theory has shown pretty significant growth. It went from 8.3 million and a bubble show to 10 million average viewers from its first to second season. Now its getting over 13 million(albeit in a better time slot) and the heir apparent to 2.5 men.

They said they don't want any of their shows to be political. So now the visitors will be called "the deciders," they'll declare that "either you're with us or against us," the human resistance will be called the "axis of evil," the aliens will be big baseball fans and Elizabeth Mitchell's character is now named Hillary.

PS, ABC ran a V ad on the back cover of TV Guide, http://www.visitorsite.net/vposter.jpgsimilar to this but with a simpler, white background. Pretty cool - it would make me want to check it out even if I weren't already going to - but I hope Anna's eye reads as "lizard" and not as "cat."

On the day of its premiere Tuesday, ABC’s “V” underwent a shake-up in its top
producing ranks, Variety reports.

Scott Rosenbaum ("The Shield," "Chuck") has been named showrunner and executive
producer. He replaces Scott Peters, who will remain an executive producer, as will

Today a right-leaning high profile website suggested there was a connection (not based on evidence, just what they think) which is why you are suddenly reading this complaint today, and not before.

Nah. I think there will be a moderate drop - that much is inevitable for any new show - but it should hold up well. It's already done better than I thought it would. One good indicator is that the numbers rose in the second half hour - if people dislike what they see, it drops at the half hour mark.

Ratings on Tuesday were solid across various age groups, with "V" winning not only in 18-49 but also in 25-54 (6.1/15) and persons 12-34 (3.7/11). It fared especially well among males, with its men 18-49 score (5.7/16) the net's best in the timeslot in six years.


The sci-fi drama built a bit in its second half-hour, going from a 5.0 rating in 18-49 to a 5.3, and in total viewers from 14.1 million to 14.5 million.

The pilot was pretty good. It's obvious a lot of money was spent making it. Very cinematic. It looked damned good in HD, I must say.
