Bad movie..great cast!

there have been many scifi movies, sorry to say, that have had GREAT casts, but are, well, not that good...what are some movies that you can think of that fit this bill?

I just watched THE CORE last night with my wife and kids. The movie was a bit silly, very B movie-ish, and yet it has a pretty good cast!!

Aaron Eckert (the dude who played TWOFACE in Dark Knight)
Hillary Swank
Stanly Tucci
Bruce Greenwood
Alfie Woodward

Rob

Disorganized Crime

Had:

Fred Gwynn
Lou Diamond Philliups
Corbin Bersen

I actually like this movie. It's not great cinema, and is at i';s best when it goes with the premise without trying too hard to be funny.

Guess this movie cast...its one of the greatest ever assembled and the movie sucked..big time...

Sean Connery
Henry Fonda
Martin Landau
Natalie Wood
Karl Malden

Eragon had John Malkovich and Jeremy Irons, and though Malkovich didn't really do much, Irons was actually really good in that one. The movie was shit though.

The Invention of Lying had a ton of people in it... wasn't terrible funny though. 'Cept for the scene where Gervais invents the concept of god on the fly and everyone finds it ridiculous.

Yeah, but both have done their share of crap, like Ben Kingsley...

Speaking of which, I'd add Species to the list. Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Helgenberger (Mmm...Helgenberger), Forrest Whittaker. It wasn't the worst movie, but it led to the crime against humanity that was Species 2.

And of course, there's Crash, though to say the whole cast was great is a bit generous.

There's some marginal ones, like MISSION TO MARS, that weren't bad, they just weren't good.

Stanley Tucci was brilliant, in a scenery-chewing kind of way.

Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGreggor, Samuel L. Jackson, Christopher Lee, and a cameo by James Earl Jones.

Need I say more?

Not terrible, but at least far inferior to the cast's potential.

Liam Neeson & Christopher Lee weren't in the same prequel - or were ya goin' for the whole trilogy?

Two semi Biblical films from this year pretty much fit the bill. Both "The Book of Eli" and "Legion" had predictable overly simplistic stories, but awesome casts who delivered great performances. Not great enough to save the turkeys they were in, but great nonetheless.

William Hurt
Mimi Rogers
Heather Graham
Gary Oldman

Lost in Space

Two good actors (Rogers and Graham) and two great actors (Hurt and Oldman) couldn't save this piece of garbage.
