Bad Kitty!

Passing the buck is one of the oldest human forms of interaction, right back to whose fault that apple was ("His" no "Hers" no.. "The Snake's"!)

Now a man in Florida has blamed his cat for the fact that his computer was stuffed up with child porn. Bad Kitty!

Story here.

So... apart from all the obvious ones (staring at the dog when you fart - stuff like that) what's the most outrageous buck-pass you ever tried/failed/heard of?

Both Bush and Blair claimed God had told them it was OK to invade Iraq. The ultimate case of passing the buck upwards.

Once or twice I blamed my daughter for breaking my ex's things. Ezri was still as a cute age so she didn't receive blame.

I've never been at a cute age nd dodged the bollocking.

Not the most outrageous but my 32 year old son still blames his chronic unemployment on the fact that his grandmother refused to buy a car for him when he asked her to about 10 years ago.

I went though this. Many employers will not hire you unless you have a car. So not having a car isn't a cop-out on his part. Well it might be but it a contributing factor. :)

Maybe that could be his excuse for not getting a paerticular job back 10 years ago but he has been using the same excuse for a whole 10 years or so. Besides I, and many people I know who don't have a car, haven't been hampered by a lack of one as Hobart has a good public transport system.

Also, why should he have expected his grandmother to buy him a car? His cousins and brother didn't expect it and they got jobs.

Right. If you live in a region with a developed Public Transport system then there is no excuse. Most employers will be understanding.

Around here no such luxury exists and if you lack a car there must be something wrong with you. :)

Anyway, back to the regular conversation already in progress.
