Bacon Foil

I forgot to mention that I had a big plate of cheese fries last night...and they had bacon sprinkled on and spread throughout them. Thick, hot, stringy cheese. Steak fries. Chunks of fresh bacon. It was a snackgasm.
I fear for your poor arteries. I fear for mine for just reading about it. Nevertheless, I want to eat such a snack. Right now. Get me some. Get me some now.

And add some extra bacon.

BACON!

My arteries knew what they were getting into from the get-go. They knew the risks.

Not what I had last night, but there are similarities.

Warning: this video will shorten your lifespan by at least five whole years, but it's worth it. For the bacon. If you really love bacon.

You do love bacon...don't you, guys? It loves you.

I'd like that video food a lot more if it was on tortilla chips rather than frozen mushy fries.

Then again there is the wondrous appeal of poutine.. so maybe the fries can stay.

I had some of those at Frankie and Benny's last week. Then a Pizza, and a cheesy garlic bread. I think I'm approx. 60% cheese and meat products now, the other 40% is bread products.

Little known facts:

Bacon helped the forces of the Duke of Wellington defeat Napoleon at Waterloo and was a primary component in the very first X-ray machines.

I've used to use bacon in nachos all the time--a combination of bacon and shredded chicken. They were always a big hit.

People usually expect beef with their nachos, but I've always found beef underwhelming for the task. Shredded beef (from a steak or roast) is always too dry and bland, and ground beef is just too greasy and makes the chips soggy.

But shredded breast meat (marinated) and smoked bacon really compliment each other and don't ruin the tortillas.

I rarely mix meat with nachos. I have pretty simple tastes when it comes to what I put on top of my nachos and the things I dip them in, and nine times out of ten I'm perfectly content with cheese, salsa or hot sauce. Meat only very rarely touches one of my nacho chips.

I save all the meat for fries, tacos, wraps and sandwiches. ;) Nachos are a cheese, sauce and salsa thing for me and pretty much always have been except for rare occasions.

My diet's questionable enough as is. If I start piling shredded or chunk meat on my nachos I'll be dead of a massive coronary in a matter of days.
